Start your adventure on Cam Kim Island, where you’ll grind rice and make rice papers and snacks to enjoy later. Then, visit another local family to learn the art of incense stick making and try it yourself. After that, head to a peaceful village to weave vibrant bed mats from river reeds.

Drive through beautiful rural villages and later stop at a charming coffee shop for refreshments. Then, cross over the stunning views bridge and enjoy a relaxing basketboat ride under Water Coconut Forest. Then zigzag through the fish & shrimp farms and lush rice paddies filled with buffalo and cows.

A great insight into village life.making rice paper, incense and visiting the vegetable fields. Our guide was fantastic, very patient and knowledgeable . The boat ride was a pleasant experience. Well worth the experience.

The coordination of this tour and the communication with the agent and tour guide were excellent. Our group of three were picked up at our hotel in an SUV and brought to the homes of very gracious local families whose livelihoods were making rice paper/noodles, incense, woven mats, and providing coconut boat rides. We also stopped at a cute coffee shop and had a delicious lunch. Our guide Lanh was friendly, accomodating, and flexible - he went at our pace. He also assisted us with information about other things we wanted to do in Hoi An. It was a great day.

This tour far exceeded our expectations. Lan was a wonderful, extremely knowledgeable and friendly tour guide. She introduced us to a range of local families who made incense, rice paper, and woven mats, as well as taking us to an up and coming coffee roaster and a vegetable farm. We tried our hand at some of the traditional methods and the families were paid directly by the tour company for sharing their time rather than relying on selling souvenirs. We also did the mandatory trip on the bamboo basket boats which although this was the only part of the trip that felt touristy, was fun. The car was also very clean and comfortable and Quang was an excellent driver. We can’t recommend this tour highly enough!

Our tour guide Lan was wonderful! From all of our tour guides in Vietnam she was the best!! She made sure we were accommodated with our dietary restrictions, took photos throughout our trip, explained thoroughly the background and history of each village we visited and just was so so kind! I highly recommend her.

We had a great day on the Hoi A countryside tour. We visited a number of different local villages and learned about the specialties of different families/businesses, including rice noodles, sleeping mats, and coffee. We opted for the army jeeps, which was a unique way to tour around. Our guide, John, was knowledgeable, positive, and kind. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. The basket boats were super fun. We did the lunch option, which was a tasty meal in the vegetable village. My kids had a great time. We wholeheartedly recommend John and this tour!
