What To Expect
Tra Que Vegetable Village
You will be transferred to John Lee’s bike station in the countryside to start your cycling route, or we can begin directly from your hotel. Cycle through picturesque country roads to a local farming village. (If you don’t know how to ride a bicycle, you can use our scooter “xe ôm” service. The fee is 170,000 VND per person, paid directly to the driver.) Experience the daily life of local farmers by joining their activities — such as hoeing the soil and watering vegetables in an organic herb garden.

5.00Today we were fortunate to have the fabulous John as our tour guide for our bike riding. He guided us on the back roads to avoid traffic and was very patient as we navigated the motorcycles and cars on our journey. He speaks perfect English and was able to give us information on the places we visited and the sights along the way. A fabulous way to spend 4 hours on a Wednesday morning. 10 out of 10 John.

5.00We had such a lovely basket boat experience in the coconut forest, made truly special by John. Having grown up in the very village we were exploring, John brought an authenticity that you simply can’t replicate. It didn’t feel like a typical tour—more like being shown around by someone who genuinely belongs there, sharing stories and insights from lived experience. He speaks excellent English, making everything easy and engaging, and was incredibly thoughtful throughout—especially as we were traveling with a toddler. He ensured our little one was comfortable and safe, and paced the experience with such patience and care. Warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind—John made this a relaxed and memorable experience for our family. Highly recommend!

5.00I had a chance to take the Hoi A country side and history tour on a bicycle with John. It was a memorable experience of sightseeing, good conversations and food. John is an energy filled, passionate and thoughtful person. He ensured that my interests were tended to. After a long day of travel he also ensured my energy was preserved to make time for the activities interspersed with periods with relaxing for coffee, food or water. If you are looking for someone who can match your energy, provide information on the local life and take care of your needs, I recommend John.

5.00We had a great experience exploring the rice fields, vegetable gardens, and the small streets of Hoi An with John. He is super friendly, easygoing and made the tour really enjoyable. He also took lots of photos and videos for us, which we really appreciated. The price was very reasonable and we were especially grateful for his flexibility..our booking request was very last minute, but he still managed to accommodate us. Highly recommended!!!!

5.00We have just had such a fantastic tour of the Hoi A countryside with John Lee. I hadn’t ridden a bike in years so was a little apprehensive but it was the best way to see the beautiful countryside and experience real life in the villages of Hoi An. John was great fun and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommended him and this tour for riders of all abilities.
