Visit some of the most beautiful and charming coastal towns on the Basque coast during your stay in San Sebastian! Surprisingly close to the city, you will feel that time has stopped in these fishing villages. First of all, we will arrive at Hondarribia, a medieval town with hundred-year-old walls where the sobriety of its old area contrasts with the joy of the fishermen's quarter. Later we will cross Mount Jaizkibel to see a panoramic view of the area and see the Bidasoa River that separates two countries. Finally we will fall on the bay of Pasajes, with San Juan on one side and San Pedro on the other, where time seems to have stopped.
The short distance of the tour makes it the perfect half-day trip from Donostia, so you can still enjoy all the hustle and bustle of the city in the afternoon!

Our guide, Diego, was really terrific! His historical knowledge was second to none, and he is from the area we toured, so he was really able to dive into so many interesting and diverse topics and stories. I learned a lot, the camaraderie with all the people on the tour was great, and we had an absolute blast! I will absolutely refer Local Experts Tours to anyone visiting San Sebastián!

The Hondarribia, San Juan & San Pedro from San Sebastian tour gives a good insight into the surrounding areas of San Sebastian and some of the smaller towns. Enjoy fantastic walks through the old cities with a knowledgeable and experienced guide, Iker, who provides insights into the history, culture, and some unusual anecdotes. The tour is just four hours and packs in a lot of sights and info, delivered with some local humour. Safe and comfortable ride in Iker's Mercedes van.

Excellent!! We loved this tour and saw beautiful sights and Diego was so informative with a great knowledge of the region. It was a wonderful adventure seeing the little villages along the river. I’d highly recommend Diego for his kindness and excellent historical knowledge. This tour is a must!! It was fun to explore some close-by medieval fishing villages. They were bright, quaint and pretty.

We loved our Hondarribia tour! Iker was a fabulous guide and was full of information on the area and its history. I loved walking around Hondarribia and the other little towns we went to. The shuttle boat ride was especially fun! Local Experts Tours was great to deal with and responded to messages quickly. Our pickup was right on time, and the van was clean and comfortable. Really the best! We totally enjoyed it and highly recommend.

Tour was absolutely amazing! Paul’s explanation of Hondarribia’s history made the streets come alive and helped me understand the city so much better. The way the medieval atmosphere has been preserved here is truly beautiful. Pasai and San Pedro were also stunning, and although the boat ride was short, it was such a wonderful and memorable experience. Paul’s guiding, preparation of materials, and overall operation were simply perfect. Thank you so much for creating such a great memory for us!
