Robert, the driver, talked non-stop on the drive to and from Hoover Dam with inane commentary. Worst of all, he turned down the air conditioning so that he could be better heard. Several times guests asked him to turn up the AC. On the way back, he gave his ridiculous restaurant recommendations. Thought it couldn’t get worse, but it did! He shared his views on guns with praise for packing heat and shooting someone who approached your car.

Our tour guide was clearly very experienced and knowledgeable about the area. Unexpectedly he brought us to Mead Lake overlook as well as Boulder City, NV. He was lighthearted and informative. Note: If you want to go on a guided tour at the Hoover Dam, it’s not included and will cost $20-49 at the site. Security guards check out the bus and to go into the visitor center you will need to go through security too. They’re super nice and helpful though. Note: It is HOT at the Hoover Dam. Well worth the cost. I’m definitely going to book tours with this company again— The Grand Canyon is next! :)
