Tour includes time to explore the area and take pictures of the dam. Visit Boulder City Historic District, "The town that built Hoover Dam." This charming town includes a free visit to the Hoover Dam Museum, cafes, antique shops and a unique art walk featuring beautiful, bronze statues.

No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the vehicle during the tour. NPE tour staff reserves the rights to refuse guests who appear to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs (including marijuana) or alcohol; these guests will not be eligible for a refund.
Please be aware that no luggage is allowed, due to Bureau of Reclamation restrictions. Smaller personal bags or backpacks are allowed with you on the bus, but suitcases or larger luggage are not allowed. If leaving luggage at your hotel, allow ample time to store it and reach the bus pickup location before departure.
ADA transportation must be requested at least three business days prior to the guest’s travel date
What To Expect
Stop for about 20 minutes at the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge, and walk up the steps to the pedestrian walkway, overlooking Hoover Dam and the Colorado River.
Boulder City
Drive through historic Boulder City, where the people lived while building the Hoover Dam. Most of the historic buildings and homes have been preserved since the 1930's and the town has kept much of its charm and character through the decades.

5.00It was a pleasure riding with “Hoover Dan.” He was very knowledgeable, funny and a sweetheart. He gave good advice on how to explore, and took the time to know his guests. I would do another tour with Dan.

5.00Did the tour with Hoover Dan (Dan Armstrong) and he was very engaging, passionate about his work and committed to making our tour a real highlight for us. Although it was very hot today we were comfortable and had options as to what we could participate in. Hoover Dam itself is a magnificent feat of engineering and courage. And I didn’t know anything much about it before the tour and now I do and it’s amazing 🤩 The videos on board were great too. So thanks Dan for a great day 🙏🏻💫

5.00Dan the driver was fantastic, really chatty and told us everything about the Dam and its history. Amazing to see it and a lovely lunch in Hanger 102 in boulder city. Travelling from Wales, i even left my phone on the bus at excalibur, dan chased us down to return it, absolute legend!

5.00I went back and forth about doing one of the full day tours and I'm glad we didn't. We were pooped by the end. Decent amount of time in each stop and our tour guide was very informative and friendly. Bus was big, comfy, and cool. I actually really enjoyed the small stop in Boulder City, too - cute little town.

We had enough time to walk over the hoover dam, see it from the other side too and the sheer size of it and before we stopped at the bridge to have an overlook and also got some background information from our tour guide and driver, Robert, who's humor is one of a kind. He made us laugh quite often. We also got to see a video as to how they built the dam. We really enjoyed the tour with an awe. Thank you for the amazing day.
