What To Expect

Pick up is at your hotel or the Garmisch-Partenkirchen train station. From there it is off to Partenkirchen for a short walking tour before making our way to a private horse carriage ride through town lasting one hour.

Vendor showed up 30 minutes late, 90 minutes of driving around in an SUV. 45 minutes touring the outskirts of town in the horse carriage. No mulled wine, no chocolate. This could be a great activity if it was anything like the description. Thankfully, Viator came through with a solution. Thank you Viator.

We had a wonderful time on our carriage tour of Garmisch! Jake told us many stories of the rich history of the area on the way to meet the carriage and was great with our young kids. This was a great way to take in all of the sights and my whole family loved it. I would absolutely book another tour with Jake and All Things Garmisch!

My daughters and I took this Carriage Ride with Jake through Garmisch-Partenkirchen the first day we arrived for our family Christmas celebration. Jake was extremely knowledgeable regarding the history, places to visit and recommendations for restaurants. Our trip would not have been so incredible had we not had his knowledge and orientation to the city. The restaurants he recommended were superb. It is very important to make reservations. We even took his advice regarding Munich and Innsbruck and he was spot on. At first I thought the tour was somewhat pricey, but we definitely got our moneys worth. The carriage ride itself was much longer than I expected. The only recommendation I would make is to slow down a little when you speak. :)

Amazing tour - the carriage ride with Franz was great but the tour was so much more. Jake did a great job showing us all different parts of the town, including the chocolate stores, beer halls, and other landmarks. Seemed to know almost everyone everywhere we went, and was able to share an encyclopedic knowledge of the town's history as we went along. Would highly recommend!
