Get back to nature with Rancho Loco on the one and only horseback riding tour through Arikok National Park to the Natural Pool, Aruba’s most popular and most remote nature destination only reached by walking, horseback or 4x4. Our expert guides instruct and match you to your horse, no experience is needed. Your tour takes you into the Park for a relaxing ride on the Nacho Trail (no vehicle traffic) to experience a nature lover’s treasure that contains some of the most diverse flora, fauna and huge cacti in the region. Keep an eye out for wild goats as you ride up into highlands for photo worthy views of the island before descending to the coastline to reach the famous Natural Pool, a stunning formation of volcanic rocks that resemble a miniature mountain range, known locally as “Conchi”. Spend 30 minutes exploring the area or swimming in the pool before heading back to the ranch. Say goodbye to your trusty steed and have a cold drink at the bar (extra) before departing.

This is a great way to see some beautiful scenery and coastline! The horseback riding was relaxing and a great way to experience some quieter parts of the island. Our guide was great during our afternoon session. Even though we were all brand new to riding, it was very manageable and worthwhile.

This was one of the top excursions I have been on in my life... EVER! Gorgeous scenery, particularly on the 3 hour tour in the afternoon into sunset. Our guide was incredible! He was very experienced, making it clear that our safety was his #1 priority from the very start, as well as throughout our ride and our swim in the natural pool. He was fluent in 4 languages and made personal connections with everyone in our group. The horses are beautiful and clearly well cared for. I am a more experienced rider. My husband... not so much. Our guide made us all feel comfortable as we walked, trotted and centered through a variety of terrain. We also saw local wildlife along the trail. Absolutely memorable!

This excursion satisfies the need to find a less touristy view of Aruba. Traveling through Arikok National Park provides sweeping views of Aruba, a glimpse into what the island used to look like, a chance to view burrowing owls, view dramatic coastlines, and take a dip in the ocean halfway through the trip. It was a lovely trip.

Best vacation experience!! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide has the horses trained so well and he matched us with a horse that fit our personality. I recommend this excursion for solo travelers as I felt safe traveling through the desert on a horse for my first time for 2 hours! I plan to do this again before leaving Aruba.

If you are a first timer or experienced you will be totally at ease with the information and knowledge the guide gives you prior to riding. This isn’t just a business out for money they love their horses and know how to match them to the rider. It is an experience worth taking. The staff is incredible!

cannot recommend this adventure enough! This was an amazing experience and the views were absolutely stunning. The tour guides were so helpful and guided us safely through the terrain. The horses are beautiful and so well behaved! It was my first time riding a horse and I felt at ease. This was my favorite part of the trip and was so fun! The natural pool is also gorgeous I recommend going in for a swim if you are able to!

Highly recommend this tour. Loved the whole experience, but the best parts were the beautiful horses, who are well behaved and healthy, the instruction (really great for a novice, which I am). The natural pool was closed for rough seas in the day we went, but it was still our favorite activity,

We had a great time on the horseback riding tour of Arikok National Park! Our tour had only 9 people. I believe the limit was 10. There were three guides for our small group. I had only been on a horse one or two times before but my partner and others in our group were experienced. The lead guided paired each of us with a horse based on our experience and level of comfort with horses. Helmets were offered to those who wanted them, but were not required. The horses seemed well cared for. The ride was beautiful! Quite a different experience from the busy downtown Oranjestad where our cruise arrived. The swimming hole was great! Our return trek, was timed perfectly with the sunset! Our weather was slightly overcast, which was good, otherwise I imagine it would have been extremely hot. There was some trotting and cantering involved, but the speeds were manageable even for the inexperienced. The entire experience ended up being about 5 hours; pickup started 1 hr before the tour began. There was a brief check-in and orientation process; about 30-45 min. The tour itself lasted about 3 hours and then we were transported back to the cruise pier. We would recommend this tour to other couples and small groups who want to see a different side of the island in this unique experience! It was a major highlight of our travels!
