Mount up on our beautiful gentle,spirited well trained Paso Fino horses and explore breath-taking countryside views just minutes from San Juan on a 2,200 acre private ranch. Soak up the Caribbean Sun while enjoining the sights and sounds of wildlife on the smoothest horses around.
Experienced guides will take you around lagoons, through tropical vegetation, and around mountains with views of coastal plains. Learn the history of the Puerto Rico Paso Fino and why the health and spirit of our animals is our number one prioroty.
When the tour is over check out our unique hilltop Mojito bar where you can cool down with refreshing drinks of your choice

Minimum age is 8 years old and up. Kids under 18 years old have to be accompanied by an adult in the tour.

Only 4 travelers are allowed per booking, bookings would be split for groups that exceeds the maximum number required.

What To Expect
Campo Rico Trail Ride
Self-Arrival (Arrive 30 minutes before your tour time) * Travelers are responsible for their own transportation * Use GPS and enter: “Hacienda Campo Rico – Mi Casa” * Arrive **at least 30 minutes before your scheduled tour** * At the farm entrance, inform the guard of your activity to gain access * Proceed to the Mojito Bar check-in area inside the farm

Amazing first horseback riding experience

5.00Our guide Anna and her horse Romba were amazing guides and teacher for our horseback riding experience!!!! She gave us a short but detailed introduction on how to ride and trot with our paired horses. We went through a forest trail, saw alligators, deer, and more we would love to come again!!!!

4.00Group of riders was too large. I was the last of 15 horses and my house never got to trot because others in front of me only went slow. Too much stopping for horses to eat grass because riders did not want to tell their horse no. Ride was actually 1.5 hours, not 2 hours. Note: guides were super friendly and polite.

5.00We rode horses with a smalll group. Grace was our guide and she is terrific. She is full of enthusiasm and was supportive of all the new riders in our group. She sang songs and gave us history of the local area. Grace is delightful and I can’t wait to tell all my friends about this trip and I will suggest they ask for Grace.

5.00Excellent experience with guide Ana and her horse Mulan. Riders were placed in small groups and individually assigned horses based on weight and riding experience. My daughter is an equestrian so enjoyed having a spunkier horse. I was content having a horse who dutifully followed the horse in front. Trail included areas of standing water, a few hills, and lots of great scenery.

1.00This excursion stated that the weight limit was 240 lbs. I'm recovering from cancer which took half of my stomach. I lost 125 lbs. in 17 months. And was checked by my doctor 3 days before this trip and my weight was 233 lbs. with a sweatshirt and jeans on. (Michigan weather) But when I stood on there scale which was placed outside the horse stall surrounded by horse poop, I asked if they had another scale so I wouldn't have to step in the mess, and of course they didn't. The scale had my weight at 246 lbs. wearing swim trunks and a T-shirt. I told them this is wrong but they denied me the ride. I called my doctor's office and they were willing to fax a health report over to there office stating my weight and how unlikely I could gain that much weight in 3 days with a 7 oz. Capacity stomach and unable to eat food with sugar. But there response was " our scales are medical scales, and because you booked through viator your not eligible for a refund". I called viator and they stated they couldn't do anything about it because that's not there responsibility. I really think that this happened because me and my wife were the only ones booked for this excursion. They had a sliding scale that the numbers were hard to make out due to them being worn off. And after reading the reviews I see I'm not the only person that they did this too. There are other options available, so you may want to consider them.

5.00Grace & Molly were the best, most patient, & professional tour guides ever. I had a bit of a rough start because I was nervous & my assigned horse Eclipse could detect that but after encouragement and direction from Grace, I ended up having a great time. She was also very well versed in the local fauna & flora and the ride through all the landscapes were so gorgeous. Highly recommend!
