On our trails, from beginners to experts, everyone can experience their own personal freedom on horseback.
We begin every ride with an introduction to the horses and the Chilean style of riding because at Antilco we strive to give every visitor a personalized experience. Each rider is specifically matched to one of our twenty four well-trained and sure stepping Criollo horses to ensure maximal enjoyment!
Our professional, bilingual guides take a hands on approach and will teach you along the way so that you learn to actually ride your horse, instead of blindly following the leader.
Whereas even beginners will have great fun on the 2 hour ride , to enjoy our 4 hours ride you schould have some expereince in mountain riding as the trail is partially steep.

What To Expect
On the half day trek, starting on our ranch, we ride on single trails in pastures, along the LIucura river and into the forest of the Carhuello mountain range. On this ride we combine narrow trails in lush forest with riding on open meadows and along a wild river. In many parts we enjoy great views over three volcanoes: Villarrica, Quetrupillan and Lanin. On our way we have a stop at a small but stunningly beautifull waterfall. On this ride we usually go walking, trotting, cantering and galloping, but start quite slow so everyone gets used to his horse and the other way round: horses get used to you. We have a weight limit of 80 kilos for our riders. Only suitable for experienced riders, to enjoy this ride you should have experience in riding mountains as the trail is partially steep. As a novice you will have a great time on our two hours ride.

5.00My wife and I did the 2 hour ride with Katie. The location and the trail is beautiful. You go through lush jungles, green meadows, with views of the volcanos. Lovely horses. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. You will feel safe and taken care of, and it'll definitely be a highlight of your trip. I do recommend a 4x4 to get there.

5.00This was the best riding tour I have ever done, and I highly recommend it. The route is beautifully chosen, with breathtaking nature, fantastic views, and wonderful accommodations along the way. Crossing the Andes on horseback was an unforgettable experience. What truly made the tour special was Mara and her amazing team. You can feel how much love and care Mara puts into every little detail. The food is delicious, the organization is excellent, and you are incredibly well looked after – nothing is missing. The personal guidance makes the experience even richer. Mara and her team happily answer questions about nature, the horses, the route, and the culture of the country. The whole journey had a warm, joyful, and heartfelt atmosphere. Even when thick fog suddenly rolled in on the volcano, I always felt very safe and well guided. The horses are fantastic – healthy, strong, brave, sweet, and a joy to ride – and the equipment is in top condition. If you’re dreaming of a riding adventure like this, start it with Mara – you will be in the very best hands. ☺️🐎

5.00The horse riding experience here was the best I've ever had! The horses are clearly so well looked after and happy which is so important. They were super gentle and perfect for anyone a bit nervous or beginners. The 2 hour ride was beautiful with views of the volcanoes and river. The guides were so kind and helpful, really encouraging and looked after the group really well. Could not recommend enough!

5.00Had an absolutely wonderful experience at Antilco campus. Our guides Julia and Margu were so friendly and helpful. The horses are so well looked after and you can tell they are happy here. This factor was super important to us when booking this tour. The scenery is spectacular from here. Riding though forest and meadows, it was brilliant a experience. It was our first time riding and we felt very looked after. We did the 2 hour tour and felt it was the perfect length of time.

5.00Had an absolute blast with horse Nevada riding around the fields and trails - friendly, responsive, strong and with great suspension may I add 😃 Also very well looked after by the extremely lovely family of this ranch and also by Stella and Dagmar, who are both great people and were such wonderful company to have on this ride. Thank you for such an amazing time! I found it difficult to get to the ranch for some reason; two Ubers cancelled on me after circling and prolonging the time by a lot, and a third couldn’t be found. Was walking around looking for taxis, eventually I found that there is a taxi rank at Miguel Ansorena (bring cash). All this made me over an hour late, but thankfully because of the organiser’s understanding they still allowed me to go ahead with this which I am really grateful for. Getting back I got an Uber (from one of the guys that cancelled on me!) but it took him 20 mins to arrive FYI.
It was a fantastic ride, beautiful surroundings, perfect guidance, very sensitive company and great atmosphere.

5.00Had the most amazing trekking experience with Mara and their most wonderful horses. We are relative novices and Mara gave us excellent tuition and made us feel very safe the entire ride. We explored the foothills of the mountains, waterfalls, cantered over meadows and walked along the river. It was simply stunning.
