Experience the uniqueness of flying from within a National Park! As the only Hot Air Balloon operation in South Africa to launch from within Pilanesberg National Park, we offer you a truly unique flying experience. Allow us to take you on a journey above the pristine wilderness, undoubtedly the finest way of viewing the park which is home to the "Big Five".

The unique vantage point provided by a balloon flight will allow you to see things normal tours might miss, as well as allow you to soak in the stunning landscape from a totally new perspective. Upon landing, enjoy some champagne and breakfast canapes as you compare unforgettable sights with your fellow travellers.

Flights are conducted at sunrise and you will need to allow for approximately 5 hours for the full experience.

Did this for my Son’s 21st. There was fog on the morning so we were delayed due to safety concerns but once we were airborne, the ride did not disappoint. We saw lions, giraffes and rhinos. Champagne on landing, safari drive (including Giraffe and Cheetah) followed by a buffet breakfast. One of the best experiences in my life - still buzzing weeks later. Huge thankyou to the team at GameTrackers. Highly recommended

I had already gone on a couple game drives in Pilanesberg Park and thought a balloon safari would be a great way to finish my visit. I was not disappointed. The crew was outstanding -- from the driver who picked us up to ground staff to the operator. The ride itself was peaceful and a unique way to view park wildlife. We saw giraffe, rhinos (black and white) and gazelle from our gondola. I would highly recommend!

A wonderful adventure to take a trip in the Hot Air Balloon. Felt totally safe and enjoyed the Pilot and all the nature/animals on the flight! All the arrangement were great- booking, confirmations, pick up and drop off were nice.

Well organised. Good communication. Punctual pick up by Bonsa. Friendly and helpful team, fabulous young lady balloon pilot, Té. Great landing. Ground team rushed to the pick up point to disembark us. Memorable speech and toast with fizz. Lovely breakfast at Bakubung Bush Lodge. A fabulous experience. Well done!

Fantastic experience Leopard sighting the highlight and all the rest of the plains game. Pick and drive to balloon excellent even elephant road block. Champagne finish then game drive back to our lodge for breakfast(our choice), highly recommended. Our balloon experience was a day after we booked it due our party size but was fully informed of this and fitted with our safari plans. Thank and would fly with you again. Dave and Tracie 🥂🫶

We were picked up by Poulie our driver on time in the early hours of Saturday morning and taken to the lift off location having picked up the other guests on the trip. Once the ballon was ready our pilot Mark went over the flight safety procedures and do and don’ts and we sawed off ready for sunrise which was timed to perfection! Mark was excellent in his explanation and knowledge of ballooning and the land we were flying over. A very entertaining journey with some breathtaking scenery. Finished off with a mini safari back to a lodge for breakfast that included rhino with calf, elephant and lots of antelope. Highly recommend this trip if you come to Pilainesburg reserve After over an hours flight we landed perfectly and celebrated with lots of traditional champagne

Amazing,our very safe and experienced balloon pilot,Jaapie, provided a magnificent experience floating over Pilanesberg National Park. From our balloon we spotted 3 lions,a cheetah and numerous wildebeest and impala. The early morning weather was cool and calm.The landing was easy and light and was followed by pink sparkling wine and orange juice. Mankwe Gametrackers did an excellent job arranging the hotel pickup and the driver,Jeremy, stopped many times on our return journey through the park to view multiple animals including giraffe,rhino and impala. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
