What can I expect in the House of Illusions?

There are more than 70 exhibits waiting for you. And trust us they will try to deceive you. Among others you can get a photo in a room that totally defies the laws of gravity, you can have your friends head for your lunch, have a party in the middle of the day and only for the brave – a walk through the Vortex tunnel. At the end you will test your brain and patience while assembling our incredible mind games.

Indulge yourself in a whole new experience and have fun with your friends or family. Kids just love the world of illusions, but it is also a great adventure for parents, couples and grandparents! Experience it by yourself.

Animals registered as service animals are allowed into all public areas of the Museum. Other animals must have the appropriate equipment for the protection of other visitors and for their own safety (they must be on a leash, they must have a muzzle, or be in an appropriate basket that is closed, etc.

When people enter the room, they get squeezed or stretched in a matter of seconds. Some become dwarves, other grow into giants. Have you ever wanted to look down at your parents or friend? • Upside-down room - This room is so weird it defies gravity. It’s also one of the most photographed rooms in the house. They trick our brain and our senses into believing what we are seeing is the truth. Our brain gets tricked by illusions, usually by receiving too much detailed and different information at once so it shows us a different truth from the one that really appears on paper. Each brain works differently (to a degree) so every person perceives Illusions differently. Do you want to know how you will experience our illusions? When can I visit the House of Illusions? We are open every day from 9AM till 10PM. Pick the time that suits you best and explore the world of illusions. Be sure to bring your camera or smartphone with you. Had great fun here so much Ch to take in and do. There is a lot of reading and it was mind boggling. Wearing varifocal specs made some of the illusions hard but we really enjoyed our time. Sent pictures to our children who really thought mum and dad were lying on a bed if nails. Not going to tell them the truth.

The staff is great and motivated to interest us and encourage us to think and make conclusions. Every part of the museum is interesting in its own way. We had a lot of fun and had a good laugh.

There were four of us in the House of Illusions and were completely thrilled! It already started with the nice reception. We got helpful tips on how to use the kaleidoscope, had help taking photos so we could walk on the ceiling and had a lot of fun. The disco was our highlight.

We have visited several house of illusions all over the world. This one had its pros and cons, this one had a fab location, it’s a great visit and will have everything you would expect. However, checking in was slow as they couldn’t find out booking, several attractions were out of order, and it was a little bit tired and quite small in comparison to others. To note, they have lockers available for 1 euro and you get your euro back.

Nice experience, free with Ljubljana card. Very nice lady is working at the front desk, she really helped us a lot and explained everything. For extra 3 € you get a quiz that makes it more interactive. Try it out!

Not very big, but some great experiences to share with friends. You need to take photographs and manipulate the images. If you struggle with motion sickness, don't attempt the first tunnel!

Pleasant staff and some fun activities but the visit was much shorter than expected. Additionally some of the games on the ground floor had prices missing and the whole place looked like it could do with a refresh. I think for the price there are better options in Ljubliana.
