What To Expect
Hue Imperial City (The Citadel)
• 06:00 pm: Guide picks up tourists from their hotels in Hue Central • First we drop by a restaurant that mainly serve: o Nam, Loc, Beo cake (roughly translated as Water fern cake, Flat rice dumpling, and Tapioca dumpling). o Hue lemongrass skewer with grilled pork sausage, eaten with vegetable, slice pickle and garlic, all wrap together with rice paper and dip in special peanut sauce; o Hue sizzling crepe, crunchy outside and moisture inside with shrimp, port and bean sprouts. • Next, go to a local restaurant next to the river to try Com Hen: rice with mussel. • Take a short trip sightseeing the Citadel • This next one is really a symbol of Hue dishes. A bowl of Bun Bo Hue (Hue beef noodle soup) is the heart of Hue cuisine, notable for its broth. • Then take time for dessert with a menu of more than 20 kinds of Hue sweet dessert. • 09:30 pm: Tourists ride cross Trang Tien bridge. Our guide then takes tourists back to their hotels. Thank you and hope you had a great evening with us.

5.00The tour was great - highly recommend if! It was a great way to try out many different things that we probably wouldn’t have otherwise, learn more about history of those dishes and see Hue from a new perspective from a cyclo. Our guide Tram was exceptional - she had such a wide knowledge of Vietnamese history and culture - we learnt a lot from her. On top of that, she is very friendly which made this a 5star experience.

5.00We had a very lovely food tour led by Minh! We toured the city at night by cyclos, and sampled some very delicious local foods at several stops! Minh gave us very detailed explanations of the histories of the foods, the preparation and how to eat them, and even explained some of the history and culture of the city and local dialect to us! Overall a wonderful culinary tour, thanks to Mr Minh and our cyclo drivers! Would whole heartedly recommend this tour to everyone!

5.00Mint was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the history of each dish. The meal selection was comprehensive and tasty. He was also very considerate and took the initiative to take pictures for us. The rickshaw was a great way to see the city and experience the local traffic first hand. Thank you for a good time.

5.00We nipped around Hue in cyclos on our night street food tour while our guide Mr Minh followed us on his scooter, visiting several carefully selected street restaurants. Each provided a new and tasty gastronomic experience as we were introduced to Hue specialties. Mr Minh spoke excellent English and amused us with us choice of idioms - we taught his several more. Besides gastronomy, he generously shared his views on Vietnam’s culture and regional differences. Recommended.

5.00What a great experience! Unfortunately, we had very little time in Hue and could see the whole city through the Cyclo Tour. The food was delicious and authentic, the guide told us lots of exciting things to eat and Vietnam and riding the Cyclos was really fun. Anytime again, highly recommended.

5.00It was a truly memorable and unique experience. We were literally ‘carried’ around by cyclos rode by friendly gentlemen. We were brought to carefully selected restaurants/hawkers that serve their respective best fare. The experience of mingling with the locals and at times sitting on stools to eat without a table was so nostalgic and heartwarming. It was truly an amazing and memirable experience.

5.00This Cyclo tour was an amazing experience for us. Being a hardcore foodie who seeks out authentic local eats, we expected some good recs by our food guide, Nguyen Ngoc An, from Connect Travel - and he certainly lived up to his promise. We indulged in an amazing array of local street eats, ranging from tapas-like finger foods to delectable noodles. Can't believe we covered so much in one evening. Going around Hue by cyclo was perfect - one can traverse the narrow alleys where there dining gems are hidden. Yet one moves at a more leisurely pace, enabling one to soak in the atmosphere. Thanks to Connect Travel for an amazing food experience.
