Fantastic photo opportunities at the peak of the pass when traveling from Hue to Danang by private car (Note: You won’t fully experience the Hai Van Pass when traveling by bus or train) The Marble Mountains – This group of 5 marble and limestone mountains each depict one of earths elements. In a country with road safety as dodgy as Vietnam, Tri was a breath of fresh air. I felt safe with his driving. He wasn’t impatient and was extremely smooth with his driving. He didn’t use his phone, which is a rarity when finding drivers in Vietnam! Also his car was clean, cool, and modern. Even better, Tri was a great conversationalist, able to speak from an informed position in many matters and with the ability to consider the perspective of those from outside Vietnam. Equally, he had the emotional intelligence to determine when it was time to pass some of the journey in peace and quiet without any awkwardness. I highly recommend Tri and will use him again when I return to the area in future.
