  The trip was everything we wanted. Good wine, pizza, gin and chocolate. The vineyards visited were very good and the wine all excellent. Our driver Drew was very informative and a safe driver. He made the trip special. Thank you to him.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our day out in the Hunter Valley sampling wine, gin ,cheese and chocolate. At each winery, we learnt the processes of winemaking from the friendly hosts. Our driver, Chris was very knowledgeable and very organised. Would highly recommend 👌

  Long day trip from downtown Sydney but worth it! Our driver and guide Chris was fun and very knowledgeable about the area and wine. Good wine and food. Easy to meet people.

  This small-group Hunter Valley Wine Tour was a great adventure and a wonderful way to spend a day in Australia. Starting with a very convenient pick up near our hotel nearest Circular Quay in Sydney, the excursion lasted 12 hours, five of which was driving (2.5 to the Hunter Valley and 2.5 back). We had five stops along the way during this tour, including: three dedicated to unique and boutique wineries, one dedicated to a fantastic lunch of salad and wood-fired pizzas (which was, itself, at a gorgeous winery but not focused on wine tasting), and one dedicated to gin and vodka tasting. Our guide Drew was very knowledgeable and personable and had strong relationships with all of the merchants along the way. This ensured that we got exceptional service and a great insight into the history and importance of the region. Drew managed our tour group extremely well and was very thoughtful and kind. He was an absolute highlight of our day. Our 5 stops provided a wide variety of experiences. Of the three dedicated wine tasting stops, the boutique winery McCaffrey's Estate was by far the best. Owner Declan sat with our group and shared his perspective on the challenges and rewards of winemaking in the region. It was an especially nice experience to have that kind of interaction with the actual winemaker. We were also quite fortunate to have a gorgeous day in the Hunter Valley so these wineries were truly able to show themselves off-- beautiful estates on rolling hills with vines just starting to bud and clear blue skies and white clouds. Our group, which included Australians, Americans, and a large group from Hong Kong, truly enjoyed the day. My one suggestion for Dave's tours would be to procure a different bus for the group travel. Our shuttle was older and had a suspension that could not did not handle the rough roads without making a tremendous amount of noise-- lots of squeaks and hard bumps over the five hours. My colleague and I were well ready to step off that bus when we returned to Sydney at 7:30 PM. Overall, this was a very enjoyable day and I would recommend this trip to anyone. Be ready to drink a lot of wine, and stay hydrated! These wineries (and Drew and Dave's Tours) definitely take good care of you.

  Brilliant day out. All wineries were really good and the staff really friendly & helpful. Lunch was lovely. Our guide/ driver Chris was excellent. Really knowledgeable & interesting.

  Highly recommend this tour. Wineries were beautiful and tastings were delicious. Pinot, our tour guide was so informative and went out of his way to make sure that we had the opportunity to see a mob of kangaroo.Liumch was brick oven pizza of all varieties and was so delicious. I loved this tour. It was the highlight of my Holiday in Australia. Thank you so very much for an amazing experience.

  This was a great tour with lots of great wine. We had a wonderful tour guide name Dave who was very knowledgeable and well informed about the different sites. He also went out of his way to make sure we had a good experience.
