5.00We did an evening tour to Hurulu Eco Park with a pick up from our hotel in Dambulla. We booked short notice the same morning. Via WhatsApp we first asked if we could do the tour because we were concerned about the rain. We were lucky, the rain stopped for the evening tour and we had the jeep and our wonderful driver and guide Nadeesha all to ourselves. Maybe it's not the cheapest option (112 US$ for both, excluding tips but everything else included) but it was easy to organise, 100% convenient and 100% a beautiful experience - we saw may elephants, from solo males to groups of up to 10 females with young ones and even a baby. Nadeesha was very careful not to bother the elephants too much while still ensuring the best views for us. Thank you for this beautiful experience!
