What To Expect
Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi
The Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is a sacred fig tree, or Ficus religiosa, that stands in the Mahamewna Gardens in Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka. Not only is it the closest authentic living link to Gautama Buddha, it is also the oldest human-planted tree in the world with a known planting date and a recorded history.
Brazen Palace (Lowamahapaya) This is the site of nine-story monastic structure built in the 2nd century BC by King Dutugmunu. The structure is said to have had a refectory, assembly hall, and chapter house, as well as a roof covered in bronze tiles (hence the name "Brazen palace").

5.00We had the best day with Navin. We heard he was the best guide and we can say it is true. Navin knows a lot about the area, religion and culture. It was very special to see the poya moon festival as well. Besides that he is very open, funny and sociable guide so we had a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend to do the tour with Navin.

5.00We had a really fantastic day with Navin as tour guide in Anuradhapura. He showed us all the highlights and knew how to tell fascinating stories about everything. Everything was well arranged and went in a relaxed atmosphere. As an extra nice surprise we also tasted a local delicacy along the way: banana roti. We absolutely recommend Navin to anyone who wants to discover this special place!

5.00Navin gave us an amazing tour through the new and old town. He knows a lot to tell en makes you feel comfortable and is a funny guy. He remembers what you say and really goes the extra mile. He even arranged a coconut for us that we had wanted to try for quite some time. We would recommend Navin to everyone!
