  Gunni and Maria are the nicest people. They welcomed us into their home to enjoy the craziness of their 30 gorgeous huskies and a hot chocolate. The sledding was an amazing experience even though they didn’t have the snow fall they expected. The dogs are very much part of their family. We had the best time with them.

  If you love dogs, you cannot miss GoHusky. From the moment we pulled up, we were greeted by the most incredible "husky choir"—a soulful howling welcome that let us know exactly where we were! ​What struck me most was how incredibly well these dogs are looked after. It’s clear they aren't just "working dogs"; they are deeply loved family members. They are so excited to meet humans, and we spent the entire time giving endless cuddles and belly rubs. The dogs are friendly, happy, and clearly thrive on the attention. ​The attention to detail by the hosts is also unmatched. They have truly thought of everything to make the visit comfortable: ​Flip-flops provided to keep the house clean. ​Lint rollers available at the end (essential for those of us wearing black!). ​A warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. ​It was truly heaven on earth.   We’re so glad we booked to see some beautiful huskies with you guys! We felt extremely at ease and welcome from the moment we were picked up by Mjölnir! Maria and her lovely husband were so friendly and informative. The dogs are absolutely fabulous! Very impressive how well trained they are and clearly very used to people. Our favourite is probably the queen of belly rubs! With one of us being quite nervous when around just one new dog, we both left having a new found LOVE for huskies. We wanted another German Shepherd, now it might be a husky that we want! Thank you so much. It was lovely meeting you all and your beautiful dogs! Rosie & James x

  The most amazing and enjoyable experience. We were welcomed with opened arms from pick up till drop off by the fantastic team at GoHusky. It really was a brilliant and immersive experience from start to finish. We had a brilliant time and it was so great to see all the dogs up close and in the comfort of their home. The team were so welcoming and brilliant and telling us all about the dogs, their history and how they look after and train them all.   Our experience was amazing! Gunni and Maria allowed us to their home with open arms and allowed us to pet all of their husky doggies. It was a wonderful and joyful experience and would recommend to those that love dogs.

  We had an amazing time with 30 gorgeous huskies who were very excited to see us - rushing through the gate with howls of delight! It was a privilege to be invited into the home of Gunnar and Maria who are a very friendly and welcoming couple. Gunnar told us all about how GoHusky was formed and all about their daily lives with the huskies adding their individual names and personalities. The huskies were incredibly well behaved and loved being fussed and having photos taken. We hope to return in the not too distant future to try one of the other activities, maybe sledding. Thank you to Gunnar, Maria and the 30 beautiful huskies for a wonderful unique experience which was a highlight of our holiday to Akureyri .

  First and foremost what an amazing & kind couple! Was welcomrd into their home & able to interact with over 25 +huskies. The dogs are stunning and so well behaved. Learned all about how they ended up raising these beautiful fanily members ...and how they have turned their passion into a livelihood all the while ensuring their dogs are well cared for and loved. Got a peak into husky yarn making -and got to see the impressive and extensive trophy & ribbon collection they have accumulated. Met some of their recent puppies. Ehat an amazing experience. Definitely a favourite! You need to check it out!!

• A great morning with the Huskies

  We had booked a huskie hike with Gunni and Maria. Due to a knee injury with me, we agreed with Gunni to simply stay with the dogs and to forgo the hike. We were picked up by Gunni at the port and welcomed in Gunni's house by Maria and the dogs. At Gunni the dogs are family members, all 26 dogs live in the house and also take up the most space for themselves. We learned a lot about the dogs and his buisiness from Gummi and had a lot of fun with the dogs, who all picked up a proper petting session. Gunni and Maria have a great relationship with the dogs and bring a lot of love for all your dogs. Should we ever come back to Akureyri, we will certainly book again with Gunni, but this time the hike.

  This was a great way to start the day - hanging out with 28 gorgeous and incredibly well behaved dogs! We all had a really great time - Gunni and Maria were so lovely and welcoming, it was really great to hear their story and we’re thankful to them! It was such a nice change of pace from rushing around sightseeing. If we had more time we’d have loved to do the hiking. The location is stunning too - overall just an absolutely lovely morning and would highly recommend to anyone to spend some time with them :-)
