• Wonderful Husky Experience.

  We had an amazing time with 30 gorgeous huskies who were very excited to see us - rushing through the gate with howls of delight! It was a privilege to be invited into the home of Gunnar and Maria who are a very friendly and welcoming couple. Gunnar told us all about how GoHusky was formed and all about their daily lives with the huskies adding their individual names and personalities. The huskies were incredibly well behaved and loved being fussed and having photos taken. We hope to return in the not too distant future to try one of the other activities, maybe sledding. Thank you to Gunnar, Maria and the 30 beautiful huskies for a wonderful unique experience which was a highlight of our holiday to Akureyri .

  First and foremost what an amazing & kind couple! Was welcomrd into their home & able to interact with over 25 +huskies. The dogs are stunning and so well behaved. Learned all about how they ended up raising these beautiful fanily members ...and how they have turned their passion into a livelihood all the while ensuring their dogs are well cared for and loved. Got a peak into husky yarn making -and got to see the impressive and extensive trophy & ribbon collection they have accumulated. Met some of their recent puppies. Ehat an amazing experience. Definitely a favourite! You need to check it out!!

  We had booked a huskie hike with Gunni and Maria. Due to a knee injury with me, we agreed with Gunni to simply stay with the dogs and to forgo the hike. We were picked up by Gunni at the port and welcomed in Gunni's house by Maria and the dogs. At Gunni the dogs are family members, all 26 dogs live in the house and also take up the most space for themselves. We learned a lot about the dogs and his buisiness from Gummi and had a lot of fun with the dogs, who all picked up a proper petting session. Gunni and Maria have a great relationship with the dogs and bring a lot of love for all your dogs. Should we ever come back to Akureyri, we will certainly book again with Gunni, but this time the hike.

  This was a great way to start the day - hanging out with 28 gorgeous and incredibly well behaved dogs! We all had a really great time - Gunni and Maria were so lovely and welcoming, it was really great to hear their story and we’re thankful to them! It was such a nice change of pace from rushing around sightseeing. If we had more time we’d have loved to do the hiking. The location is stunning too - overall just an absolutely lovely morning and would highly recommend to anyone to spend some time with them :-)

  It was a very unique experience , we love dogs bur aren't so active hikers so the opportunity to see a Husky farm and meet the 2 lovely couple who run the place was just perfect for us, we learned about the abilities and habits of these lovely dogs and at same time had a cuddle with them in a warm and welcoming atmosphere ❤️ we would have never have thought anything like this could exist ,definitely unique thank you.

  What an amazing visit this was, Maria, Gunnar and their husky family made us so welcome into their home. We were picked up from central Akureyri by Gunnar and driven out to their home on the edge of the fjord, where we were greeted by a chorus of welcoming howls. Our visit was made extra special as we were able to see (and get chewed by) three recent additions to the family, Hati, Sköll and Fenrir. This was only a short visit, but we were able to talk with Maria and Gunnar about how it all started and get a really good insight to their world, we hope to return for a "trip out" with some of the Huskies next winter.   We had the most amazing time at GoHusky , Gunni and Maria were the best hosts , we met and played among the dogs they were absolutely incredible and so well behaved beautiful Huskies, we learned about the breed the competitions , we were fascinated how they also use all the fur the dogs shed and turn this into their own wool spinning and knitting . Please go visit it is the experience or a lifetime , our teenager and grown children loved the experience too

  If you’re an animal lover, especially a fan of dogs, husky petting is an absolute must-try experience. The huskies were not only stunning with their piercing blue eyes and thick fur, but also incredibly friendly and well-behaved. It was clear that they are well cared for and loved by the staff. The team was welcoming, knowledgeable, and eager to share stories about the dogs and their backgrounds. Being able to spend time petting, cuddling, and even playing a little with these beautiful animals was both relaxing and unforgettable. I left with a huge smile on my face and a warm heart.   BEST port stop of our cruise! Had an amazing experience on a beautiful afternoon with all the sweet, friendly huskies and their owners. HIGHLY recommend and would do this again!
