Tips (Propinas)
Cuscatlan Park
We will see how the new salvadorean culture is acquiring the interest for art, sports, orchestra, music, etc. This is the beginning of everything when Bukele began in 2017, and converted San Salvador a nicer place to visit. On Mondays this park is closed so we will meet in the entrance of the park, which is in Alameda Franklin D. Roosevelt.
Basilica Sagrado Corazon de Jesus
We will pass by the hospital area, then we encounter an University campus before we get into the story of our civil war and get to the basilica of Sagrado corazon de Jesus.

On this tour you get to know a lot of history, try food & fruits, buy souvenirs and best of all see the sights. My favorite was the horcata Cafe in the library a must try. Thank you very much Dave. This tour with David was absolutely amazing for me and my family! We enjoyed literally walking through history and hearing David’s knowledge, based not only on historical facts, but his personal experience. We learned so much…history and what’s happening currently! Thank you David for a great tour! My family and I could not stop saying how this tour was just so good!

This tour AMAZING!!! Dave is humble, kind, knowledgeable, engaging, enthusiastic, and has a great sense of humor. It was nice learning about the history of El Salvador, both good and bad. The guide incorporates personal stories as well. It is always nice to hear from a native on their experiences growing up, their family and maybe friends, in the context of the information they discuss about the country in general. Some of the highlights was learning about the seeing the Cuscatlan park, learning about things such as the native species like birds and things produced in the country like crops, learning about the Civil War, the work president Bukele has accomplished and continues pursue (ex. School advancements, the new public hospital, and so much more). It was also fun journeying through the central market and trying Horchata. I also appreciated the local restaurant recommendations to the group at the end of the tour. I actually enjoyed Chivo Negro which was one of the restaurants of traditional Salvadorean food in the centro historic area. Definitely worth it and recommended.
