We will discover the best of San Salvador Landmarks like the Parque Cuscatlán, we will get through an University Campus, visit the basilica of el Sagrado Corazón, get into the different plazas, get to know Monseñor Romero in the metropolitan Cathedral, of course discover the brand new library, while we walk and discover these spots we will laugh, talk and taste some Salvadorean gastronomic beverages or snacks like pupusas, empanadas or quesadillas and Horchata.

What To Expect

Cuscatlan Park

We will see how the new salvadorean culture is acquiring the interest for art, sports, orchestra, music, etc. This is the beginning of everything when Bukele began in 2017, and converted San Salvador a nicer place to visit. On Mondays this park is closed so we will meet in the entrance of the park, which is in Alameda Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Basilica Sagrado Corazon de Jesus

We will pass by the hospital area, then we encounter an University campus before we get into the story of our civil war and get to the basilica of Sagrado corazon de Jesus.

It was. Incredible to visit and discover El Salvador. Highly recommend the tour as you see the city center and learn about the country history and rocky past, and how it has evolved to one of the safest cities today. You also get to eat great pupusas at the end 😀

Dave is a very knowledgeable,personable and articulate tour guide. He started and ended our tour as planned. He illustrated the history of the country by sharing stories of his family and friends during the darkest periods of not- so-very-distant past. He also passionately talked about the transformative changes that the current president of El Salvador has been implementing in education culture and economy. I really enjoyed the tour. Dave was very knowledgeable and the experience was amazing. The only thing I would change is advise that the tour doesn't end where it starts. Therefore if you drive to the meeting spot you will have tp walk back or uber back.

I had already seen Dave in a video that helped me convince me to visit San Salvador, and so I was delighted to find out he was actually available on the day I wanted. The YouTuber hadn't lied: he was an amazing guide. It's not unusual to have someone who knows all the facts and history, but Dave goes way beyond that. You feel taken care of when you're with him, and his enthusiasm for his country and its culture is infectious.

We had a great experience on his evening tour. He knew so much about the history of El Salvador, including his own personal experiences. He tooks us through the past at different monuments and buildings, but also showed us the present changes occurring. I would recommend this to anyone coming here for the first time.
