Your ice fishing adventure begins at the pick-up point in Tromsø, where you’ll set off on a scenic drive to the fishing spot. From there, you’ll take a short walk down to the frozen fjord and experience the thrill of fishing on Arctic ice.

You’ll have the unique opportunity to catch your own fish in one of Norway’s most stunning natural settings. After your fishing session, you’ll head to the cozy basecamp, where you’ll learn how to clean, prepare, and cook your catch the traditional Norwegian way.

While you relax in the heart of the Arctic wilderness, you’ll hear fascinating local stories and gain insight into the region’s fishing culture and history.

Once you’ve enjoyed your freshly prepared meal and taken in the peaceful surroundings, you’ll return comfortably to the pick-up point in Tromsø.

What To Expect

Ice Fishing on Ullsfjord starts at the pick-up point in Tromsø. From there we will drive you to The fishing spot and walk down to the frozen sea. On this trip you will get a unique opportunity to catch your own fish. We will prepare the Fish With you, if you catch one. If we catch any fish, you will learn how to prepare and cook it. After the fishing trip we will drive to our basecamp and prepare a local meal with you. Our basecamp has a fantastic view of the Lyngen Alps. There will be told local stories, and you can relax in the middle of the arctic wilderness. When you have learned about our local history and are well rested, we will drive you back to the pick-up point i Tromsø. We will provide you with warm outerwear, fishing Equipment, Lunch, warm and Cold drinks. Guests must bring their own warm mittens, cap and underwear. Winter shoes are provided by special request.

Where the right clothing & foot wear & gloves. Be patient & keep the jig moving. The whole experience was Wonderful, though I did not catch a fish. Others did & we had a great meal. I would do this again when visiting here. Thank you Gary Bruzaud Ps birthday cake was a very nice surprise 🙂

Oscar was supper friendly and with a great sense of humor. It was cold but he had extra clothes for us and great shoe spikes . Later cooking the fish that was caught and eating it was very tasty. Thank u Karen for ur hospitality and Oscar for a great time

Very nice and unique experience! The guide was really great and it was a beautiful and unique experience for both of us! Even without fishing experience very cool! Especially positive is that you are traveling in a small group, later you can still enjoy the fish comfortably in the cabin!

We did the ice fishing trip on the fjord and it was a really unique experience. From the start, Karin was super friendly, close and very professional, and together with Oskar they made everything perfectly organized. Ice fishing was something totally new for us and both took all the time to explain, help and make us feel comfortable, always with great vibes. One of the best moments was when Karin took us to her house, a very cozy place, where she cooked the fish. Eating fresh fish prepared right there, in such a warm and familiar atmosphere, was spectacular and gave a very personal and special touch to the excursion. You can tell they put a lot of heart into what they do and really want visitors to experience something different and memorable. Without a doubt, one of the best experiences we did in Tromsø. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience with ice fishing. Super professional friendly guide. We didn’t manage to catch fish ourselves but had wonder fish burger and grilled fresh Cod fish at their house which was really cozy. Highly recommend!!

We caught a few fish. The guides set an excellent atmosphere within the group, which had about fifteen people, which is very welcome for a small committee outing. The meal was delicious!
