What To Expect

First there will be an introduction to ice fishing, drilling holes and moving on the ice. The guide will then share tricks of fishing and attracting fishes under the ice. During the trip you may see beautiful arctic scenery on the ice. Light lunch is included by camp fire. With some luck you may also catch a fish! Typical fishes in here are perches, trouts and arctic white fishes. It is unbelievable how they can live under even 1 meter of ice. See yourself! You have also a great opportunity to take some nature pictures. Return transfers to the lake or river, guiding and all equipment, winter clothes and boots are included. Good luck! Longer all day ice fishing trip further to the wilderness and including lunch is available for additional price.

A highlight was gathering around a fire for a cozy barbecue with tasty local snacks—such a memorable touch! 🔥🍴 The provided thermal gear kept us warm, and the three-hour duration was just right. Whether you catch a fish or not (we were lucky to have 5 catches and then released them ofc!), this adventure is about immersing yourself in Lapland’s magical winter wonderland. A beautiful blue sky but -20C temperature. Three ice fishing holes dug, couple of nibbles on our lines. Delicious sausages on an open fire on the ice! Arc was a great guide and we had a great time.

My friend and I booked the snowshoe ice fishing trip from Rovaniemi. It turned out just two of us on the day, so we enjoyed a private tour. Our guide Kai was very attentive and informative. The lake he took us was quiet and had beautiful surroundings. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Sadly we didn't catch any fish, but I liked digging a hole on the ice lake. The BBQ by the fire was nice too. Kai provided more than enough food for us. Overall, I would definitely recommend it!
