Try out a unique winter extreme experience in Savonlinna. Jump in the freezing water and let the stream bring you like a cork right in front of the old Olavinlinna Castle. This is a safe, guided ice-floating session in frozen water wearing a dry waterproof rescue suit.

You will use MAS II rescue suits in floating and 12 suits are available: (2pcs S fits 140-170 tall/chest max 86cm/waist max 84cm, 8pcs M for 170-188cm tall /chest max 112cm/waist max 100cm, 3pcs L for 176-205 tall /chest max 136cm/waist max 124cm, 2pcs XL for 176-205cm tall /chest max 144cm/waist max 132cm Depending on your size, 1-12 persons can participate at the same time).

Very unique experience and the guide also provided a lot of information about the region. Very friendly and helpful guide. I found a lot of photos taken by the guide with our own device, which was super useful. Finished with a nice drink.

We participated in ice-floating with a group of colleagues. What a great experience! And what a wonderful person Arto is. Very sincere and interested. Told us a lot about Finland, nature, Savonlinna and the Finnish lifestyle. In addition, a knowledgeable instructor. Finally, a nice Finnish hot drink. Thank you Arto! It was great!

Floating in front of the northenmost medieval stone castle still standing, the castle of Olavinlinna, in freezing winter weather looking at the sky and stars is an experience to remember! Even though it was -15C it was not cold at all, on the contrary, due to the fact that the current was quite strong and some swimming needed to be done upstreams. Afterwards Arto served us some hot juice which was nice.
