The experience was splendid. We rode in the beautiful countryside of Reykjavik, we were lucky because it just snowed the day before, so everything was covered in silver cloth. It was the most peaceful experience in Iceland as I didn’t have to race for bus and shuttle among trips, I could just bump in a wild path and enjoy the fresh air and stunning scenery. Our guide is a very friendly young man ( I forget his name, sorry), he is so patient and helpful, making the riding more fun and enjoyable, he knows everything about Reykjavík and shared many fine stories. He really loved the horses and knows the tempers and characters of every horse, even myself got affected and feel his love for the horses. In conclusion, just join in the riding, it will be a worth of your money!

This was bundled together with the Golden Circle tour offered by BusTravel Iceland. Early morning start with pickup from Mjodd, which is convenient if yoir hotel is not in downtown Reykjavik. Very friendly hosts, showing us around the farm and offering coffee. We had ample time to say hi to the horses in the stable until the redt of the group gathered. Layered up in overalls and with helmets we were each assigned a horse based on our skill and we head out on the tour. Warm clothing (wool, thermals, windproofing), socks, gloves (best to have 2 pairs) and a face covering (buff or balaclava) are all essential. Your toes will eventually get cold and so will your fingers and ears if uncovered. We crossed a river each way and saw snowy mountains in the distance, colored by the sunrise. Towards the end, we were looking forward to warming up again inside, reanimating our toes by te radiator with coffee and baked goods, watching the horses and birds out the window as the sun was shining. The host was cheerful, talking to everyone and making jokes. You could see pictures of famous visitors on the wall and the interior is vintage and welcoming. A great experience overall! Highly recommended!

It was very cold, but the view was fantastic! We should have prepared better with hand and foot warmers, but we had a great time! We went out and back and crossed a creek. Horses are well taken care of. Pickup from a close bus stop was arranged. We were given hot chocolate and pastry after riding to warm up.

My daughter is a horseback rider and she absolutely did not want to miss the experience of riding an Icelandic horse. The experience was really positive in everything: timely and precise pick up and communication. Comfortable van. The farm is in the middle of the hills a few dozen minutes from Reykjavik, in a lovely setting. The prepared, friendly and well-organized staff and the wonderful and cared for horses. The walk was beautiful, suitable for experts and beginners. Very welcome the final hot coffee and chocolate for a small snack to warm up! Only drawback the very high cost but in line with Icelandic standards☺️

We had a wonderful ride! The Icelandic countryside is beautiful and it was great to go in a small group. The guides knew exactly how to pair the horses with riders from very experienced to those who have never been on a horse before. The horses were amazing and are very well-trained and taken care of. The facilities are extremely clean. The guides were so kind, friendly, and helpful. We even spoke with the owner of the farm who has had Icelandic horses for decades and has welcomed many famous visitors to the farm, and even allowed some of his horses to be used for the filming of Game of Thrones! We had a great trip and would recommend this to anyone visiting Iceland. It was the perfect morning activity that even included a ride to and from the farm.
