Waterfall was beautiful but it’s a long way from Asuncion! The boarder is about 4.5hr then the park is another 1-1.5hr drive. The boarder was quiet when we arrived but this can add another 1.5hr in each direction. Expect to wait in line at the park for the bus for another 45min before a 20min bus ride to the waterfall itself. The ‘tour’ is very much just transportation. However if I spoke more Spanish maybe there would have been some conversation (no English spoken). We were sort of just dropped off at the front of the park and figured out everything ourselves. Overall it was well worth the visit. Just expect a 15hr day and do some research about the park in advance on your own.

I was expecting this to be more of a tour group but it ended up being a private driver who took me to the Iguazu Falls and back from Asuncion. It was an early morning departure (0415 for me) and I got back at around 2030 after around four hours at the Falls. Likely a Sunday trip may have led to the Falls being very crowded but it was still a great experience. I paid to get VIP pass at the start as the line-up was around 400 people waiting to get the bus into the grounds. I also paid for the boat ride. I was told taking the boat snd doing the main walk at the base of the falls was a four-hour visit and this proved accurate for my experience.

Great experience and highly recommended. The service is quite flexible and the transfer from Asuncion is very comfortable. 100% recommended.

Straight forward car service to get to the Iguazu Falls. Gave us a choice of what to do and how long we wanted to stay and what to do. Decided to stay for 5 hours and did the safari, boat rid, a short trail hike and the buffet lunch. Worth the long travel. The falls is breathtaking and the boat ride experience was quite a thrill. Aurelio even gave us some really authentic chipa on the way to Brazil and back to the hotel. Gracias!

It was amazing, nature miracle and a must to visit and feel. I travel by car from Ausnción PAR, 5h30 and spent one night at the only hotel inside the park at the Brazilian side. I did the tour in the falls early morning 7am which was magic!!!

We visited Paraguay for the Pan American Youth Games ‘25. With only one day available for tourist activity we decided to visit Iguazu Falls from Asuncion. We were worried that it was an extremely long activity: an average of 5 hrs to Iguazu and 5 hours returning (6 hours at the falls). However, our driver Augusto Miranda contacted us 5 days before the trip to confirm and answer questions. We felt much safer after talking to him. The driver and car were exclusive to our family of three. Augusto showed up on time with a new, comfortable and safe car. He offered to adjust to our needs, and talked to us about the regions where we were passing along the way. The trip was very comfortable and passed quickly. The 6 hours at the falls were enough to do the activities we wanted including the boat ride. If you only have one day to get to know Paraguay, I recommend visiting the falls with this driver.
