At the end of this tour you are going to comprehend what brings life to Tomar and makes it pulse. Starting in Várzea Grande we will walk towards Saint Mary Church, once a Cathedral and one of the most important dioceses in the all country and beyond. Descending, we will pass by the Saint Iria’s Convent whilst enjoying one of the best views Tomar has to offer. Then, we will dive in the green garden of Mouchão where we’ll see the Mouchão Wheel which is said to be proof the passage of the Mors in these lands. We will be on our way again, this time to enter the former Jews’ street and where we will go back to 15th century and to when the synagogue, jewish history. Meanwhile let us observe the famous corner windows, symbol of once architecture. Lastly, we will finish in the main square, centre of the city.

We did the Tomar historic center tour and it was excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable and showed us places that we would not have seen on our own. He had great historical knowledge and shared this in an interesting way. We even entered several churches where he explained about the history and architecture. Great way to explore Tomar.

Sara gave us such an incredible tour of Tomar! We learned so much about this beautiful small city and its history! Sarah was our wonderful guide on a tour in Tomar. She explained the history and culture of people of Tomar very well and answered the avalanche of questions we had. Tapas at the end of the tour was a nice addition.

David, our tour guide was the best tour guide we have ever had. We have done similar tours in many international cities and he was the best. His training and education gave him a sound knowledge of Tomar and its history. He was also very friendly and a good communicator. I think many people go to Tomar just to tour the Covent and the Castle. The city has many other historic aspects that are worth learning about. I highly recommend this tour and company if you are planning to visit Tomar.

David was an outstanding guide, extremely knowledgeable and relaxed. We enjoyed the city tour so much that we booked the castle and convent tour for the next morning. I would highly recommend both tours.
