An amazing experience and absolutely worth every penny! Delicious wine, a calm and cozy atmosphere, and a stunning lagoon that was simply beautiful. There was plenty of time to enjoy everything without feeling rushed. But the real highlight was our guide, Victor — hands down the best guide we could have asked for! He shared fascinating insights about the country, history, nature, and culture in a super entertaining and engaging way. Truly unforgettable! 🍷✨

What a great day out. Magnificent mountain scenery and excellent commentary from Alvaro who was super friendly and helpful. We felt in safe hands for the steep drive up the range.

We booked an 11 hour trip, due to start at 07:00. However, this was changed the night before to 08:30 am. We returned at 15:30 (as can be seen this was a 7 hour trip). We were the last pickup, and the 15 passenger seater Bus was nearly full, which meant there was poor availability of seats, except at the very back row, over the rear wheels. My wife had to sit with one foot raised on the wheel arch. After 15 minutes we stopped at a Service Station 'for coffee and Bathroom' for 20 minutes??? At this point, we pointed out to Paula that we could not hear any of her commentary (and she couldn't hear us when we tried to tell her when in the coach). She explained that the Microphone was now working. This did not help, as nearly all the passengers were Spanish speaking and weren't interested in the English commentary and talked over it (which meant we couldn't hear what was being said). Anyway, after another 10 minutes the commentary stopped and did not resume for the rest of the trip! Next stop, at 10:30, we arrived at the Llama farm, where we did 'wine tasting' (a Little early, even for us). One small glass of 2 different wines, isn't really a 'wine tasting'. We arrived at our final destination at 11:50 (Portillo Hotel/Inca Lake) where we were immediately ushered into the Hotel Restaurant, for (own expense) refreshments and told to meet back at the Bus at 13:30. So, after something to eat and drink we wandered out to look at the Lake and read the information boards. Very pretty location, very little information. On the way back we had a scenic 10 minute photo stop overlooking the Hair-pin bend road. No further stops. No further commentary. We arrived back at Santiago first hotel drop at 15:25. So, it can be seen that the whole trip was very fast, but the journey back was extremely fast, which resulted in the Bus's rear suspension grounding/hitting the stop on very regular occasions and the subsequent jarring (especially at the back, over the rear wheels). This was, of course, extremely uncomfortable for a couple (us) in our late 70's of age, and compounded by my wife's inability to place both feet on the floor. We were on a very long flight the next day with a painful back, lower spine. For information, Google Maps indicated that the trip (on that day) by car would take 2 hours 10 minutes, but we did it in much less time than that, which indicates how fast the Bus was going!!! In conclusion, we have always given our Viator Excursions a 5 Star rating, however, we are unable in this case as we feel the trip was far below what we would have expected or have come to expect from Viator partners. This trip was so poor (lack of comfort, lack of commentary and 4 hours shorter than expected) that we feel that this did not achieve what we thought we had paid for, and that a Refund would be in order. Very disappointed.

Paula was a terrific guide! She and our driver were prompt to pick us up at our accommodations and she spoke English very fluently. The pickup service is very nice. The vehicle was new, clean and a comfortable ride. We appreciated our first stop was for coffee, snacks and a toilet break as it was early and the drive was going to take a while. The stops were thoughtful of photo opportunities and safety. Our tour was on a Sunday so the vineyards were closed but we stopped at a small farm where we tasted two wines, got close to the lamas, and had a delicious charcuterie snack. The views travelling into the Andes were breathtaking. We felt safe with our driver travelling the 29 switchbacks up to the top. Once at the top we were let loose to explore the lagoon on our own, take pictures, and have an exquisite lunch at resort with a stunning view. Our trip back was efficient and direct and we were back at our condo by 3:30. I highly recommend. I always like to offer suggestions. As we stopped for the wine and charcuterie on the way there, we didn’t have much appetite for lunch. It might be an idea to stop for the wine tasting after lunch on the way back.

Our Inca Lagoon tour with Alvaro was amazing! I've been in mountains in many other parts of the world, but none compare with the Andes! Adding the wine tasting in the vineyard and meeting some llamas rounded out a great day!!

Our tour to the Inca Lagoon was conducted by the company G02 Chile Travel. Our guide, Rodrigo, proved to be a classy, well-informed guide who was always attentive to the client's needs. The stops selected for our trip were very well chosen. We loved it. I highly recommend this company. To improve: Wine tastings at 10:30 am are not advisable.
