My wife and I completed two days of Inca Trail & Machu Picchu tour recently and we absolutely had a life-changing experience ! The tour started with the Flashpacker team, tour guide Maiki & Jose picking us up from the hotel and we drove for two hours. Had a great breakfast and took the train to start the Inca Trail. After we arrived around 8 am, Maiki helped us to enter the Inca Trail. He gave us a lot of information about the 6-7 hour hike which helped us a lot to prepare fully ! Since it was still the end of the rainy season, the main trail to go up was closed. Thus we had to take the more demanding route. It was a great challenge for 2 hours, with the altitude and the amount of stairs was hard to complete. But thanks to Maiki, we keep a steady pace with regular breaks. After finishing the 2 hour hike, we had an amazing lunch on top of the mountain. Daniel (the chef) carried all the ingredients to the top before us and cooked a super delicious meal !! To be honest it was a very nice surprise because the other groups were only having box lunches, but we had a 10 course meal ☺️ After lunch we hiked on the most beautiful trail for about 2 hours more and we reached Gringo Killers. It was much easier compared to the first part of the hike 😀 after gringo Killers, we were at Sun Gate. It was astonishing to see the Machu PIcchu from the top. After that we walked 30 more minutes to Machu Picchu, we didn't go inside on the first day but had a cool view of the city from top. Maiki already started explaining about the history of.the place and make us excited for day 2! Then we head to the town, Aguas Calientes to stay one night. We had a great dinner with Maiki, where we had interesting talks and laughed together. On the second day, we took the bus to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes. We took the Circuit 3, it was less crowded than the others. We didn't even wait to enter. After we were inside, everything was magical. Maiki was super super knowledgeable and explained each part of the circuit very well. He answered all of our questions and told us some stories from his childhood too. It was very inspiring, we couldnt be happier after the trip. We didn't even realize we spent 3 hours up there, time went so fast. Then we headed to town again to have the last lunch, then took the train. Another driver (I forgot his name) took us to the train station and drove to Cusco. It was very smooth ! Overall, the experience was life-changing. The Inca trail and Machu Picchu is the most place we have seen so far in our life ! The Flashpacker team made the trip even more amazing. Especially huge thanks to Maiki, the best guide in Cusco 😎 and the drivers and the chef are all very professional people. We would highly recommend taking the trip with them if you go to Machu Picchu you will have the best time of your life ☺️

My partner and I recently completed the 2-Day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with Flashpacker Connect, and it was easily the highlight of our trip to Peru. From the start, the organization was seamless, but what truly made the experience special was our private guide, Maik. His knowledge of Inca history was impressive, and he paced the hike perfectly so we never felt rushed. He knew all the best spots for photos and shared stories that truly brought the ruins to life. He was very personable and accommodated any request we had. I asked him many times to do something for us and it was like he was doing it for the family. He went out of his way to ensure we had anything we needed and wanted. A massive highlight was the food. We were blown away by the porters, who hiked ahead of us to prepare a glorious, hot meal that was ready the moment we arrived. Having such a wide variety of fresh, delicious food served "right out of the kitchen" in the middle of the trail was amazing and gave us the perfect energy boost to keep going. Walking through the Sun Gate was a moment we’ll never forget. If you are looking for a professional, high-energy, and deeply knowledgeable guide, ask for Maik! Flashpacker Connect handled every detail (trains, permits, and logistics) perfectly. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It really was a smooth and incredible experience!

What an incredible experience! Giovanny was the best guide, might be naive of me, but by the end of our time together we were Causas! He was very knowledgeable and great at providing the information that was relevant to what we were experiencing and seeing as well as informing us of the Peruvian culture. Everything was taken care of for us, passes, tickets, meals, the path, everything. It was so nice to be able to go and trust that everything was handled. I really feel like we would have missed out on a lot of information, hidden gems, pictures, and culture if not for Giovanny. Would recommend!

Flashpacker gets 5 stars and our wonderful guide Miguel gets 10! Booking and coordinating with the company was done with relative ease. They contacted us about options and alternatives when we struggled to find the right expeditions, without simply upselling. All the logistics during our tours were organized, prepared, and efficient from entrances, bus rides, trains, to cars. I don't have enough space to write about Miguel! He's the most enthusiastic, authentic, and selfless guide we could have gotten. From the briefing call we had the day before where he ensured our full preparedness, to being early and organized every time we had to meet up, he did his homework. We wouldn't have finished the trail without his support, patience, and motivation as a hiking guide. As a native of the Sacred Valley and an ethnic Quechuan, he was intimately knowledgeable about the cultural and historical significance of everything we did and saw, making him the best cultural guide, also.

Hiking the Incan trail into Machu Picchu was truly a magical experience!!! Our guide, Miguel, was incredible. He has a deep knowledge of the land, both of the geography and the history. He is a great photographer, taking many pictures of us and allowing us lots of time to take in the sites. In addition to Machu Picchu we also saw the incredible Winaywayna Incan ruins, which was quieter and more secluded than Machu Picchu. After we also had the most amazing picnic. Highly recommend the Incan Trail with Miguel and Flash Packer!

Flashpacker did an excellent job setting everything up for our 2 day Inca trail trip. Our tour guide Miguel was excellent and spoke Quechua and knew a lot of the culture and history of the Quechua people (Incans). The accommodations were wonderful. They make sure you are well taken care of.

Our 2-day trek with Amilcar exceeded our expectations! Having a private tour was so special, and it took so much stress away to have everything pre-booked for our travels (private transport, train ride, entrance to Inca trail & Machu Picchu, hotel, etc.) I would definitely recommend Flashpacker Connect to anyone and more specifically, Amilcar as a tour guide!

We did the 2 day Inca trail trek to Machu Picchu and the 1 day to rainbow mountain tours. Our tour guide was Albert and we can’t say enough good things about him! The tours were amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the Incas and at the Treks. He was able to answer all of our questions and took us to the best spots for views/pictures. He was very approachable and gave us recommendations of restaurants to try and places to go in the city. I was sick during our trek up rainbow mountain and he helped make sure I still got up the mountain which I appreciated so much. We also enjoyed all of our meals that were provided to us. Highly recommend this company and Albert as your tour guide!

We had an amazing experience on the 4 day Inka trail hike with Flashpackers! The views were stunning and it was so special to see so many ruins ahead of Machu Picchu - highly highly recommend. Full credit goes to the incredible team who made our experience so special! Our guide, Ricardo, was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the history and significance of different ruins along the trail. Our chef and sous chef (Charli & Santos) were exceptionally talented and prepared high quality and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’re also still in awe of how our porters (Nilo, Juan, Abran, Fidel, and Santos) carried all our belongings with such ease. They also made the trip super comfortable as we always arrived to a set up camp, allowing us to relax and enjoy our down time. Though we went during rainy season, we were lucky with our weather. The clouds kept the trail cool and we only had a night of dense fog. We only had a few sporadic bursts of rain that quickly passed. It worked well in our favor - the trail wasn’t crowded and we had many mornings and afternoons all to ourselves. Would definitely trade a few instances of rain for a peaceful trek! Recommendations for future travelers: bring hand sanitizer and always have toilet paper on you! Bathrooms are fairly frequent along the trail, but most don’t have soap. We also brought body wipes to clean ourselves at night and really enjoyed feeling clean at night!

I recently completed the 2-day Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu with my adult son. He also posted a review so I won't repeat his excellent summary. I highly recommend adding the 13K hike (~ 1800 ft climb) if at all possible. I gained a much deeper appreciation for the physicality of the place and the lives of the Inca and Peruvian indigenous peoples. The landscape is stunning and the Inca trail is a marvel in itself. The second day is completely focused on Machu Picchu in this context. Our guide, Rosbel Borda ("Ross"), was excellent. Beyond his warmth, smile, patience, and attention to detail was a deep love and pride for his people and the ongoing mystery of what they accomplished. I told my son, "Now there is someone who loves his job." I have been on many tours around the world. In most cases, I gain lots of interesting information. Ross guided me past knowledge into experiencing this sacred place and the people whose presence was palpable even today. Please book this tour with Ross and give him a deep bow from me.
