Brunei is known as a nation of foodies, thanks to our long culturally rich history giving us a diverse cuisine of Malay, Chinese, Indian and other Asian influences (a blend similar to the rest of Malaysia). This means our traditional indigenous recipes are overlooked and not represented in the majority of places to eat. So this tour is very different and offers the opportunity to learn about, cook and enjoy eating REAL local food that's unique to Brunei!

A curated visit to meet our community friends at the weekly Thursday Market to learn about local and seasonal produce,handicrafts and antiques followed by a cooking class at Lamin Warisan,a heritage house featuring recipes from the village. 5.00I had a lovely time learning about Bruneian cuisine and cooking with local ingredients. My guide Irene and the chef leading the class were attentive, knowledgeable and personable.
