The winery trip was perfect. In particular, our guide Andrés was perfect, he told us a lot about life in Uruguay and about the winery where we went for wine testing. As for the testing, which was already in charge of an employee of the winery, I expected more. From France, Italy, Spain and South Africa, I was used to a detailed explanation of working with wine, information on varieties, production methods, etc. in various wineries. Our guide told us everything he knew, but the winery employee was more like the one who poured 4 second wines for us to taste (1x white, 3x red) and didn't tell us much about it. The accompanying food like cheeses, chorizo and asado was spectacular and delicious. But I rather went for wine. I was expecting 7 to 10 samples, but there were only 4. For example, there was no dessert, rose or sparkling wine, the winery does not produce it. I would have expected a bigger offer that would go towards selling bottles... Overall I enjoyed the tour, it just needs a more comprehensive approach. But otherwise everything is ok and I recommend it.

We had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Ryan was very helpful and gave us plenty of tips prior to our arrival in Colonia. He kept us updated on everything we needed to know. Our guide, Andrés, was a pleasure to talk to—he shared a wealth of knowledge about the country and the vineyard. We traveled with Mary and Jay from Arizona, and we had a lovely chat during the ride to and from the vineyard. Upon arrival, Andrés took us on a tour of the vineyard, pointing out fascinating details along the way. After the tour, we moved on to the fun part: wine tasting and a barbecue! We sampled four varieties—white, Tannat, Syrah, and a blend of the latter two. They were all excellent, and the Syrah was unlike anything I’ve tasted before. The food was wonderful as well. Andrés was an outstanding host who shared interesting facts about each wine and the vineyard’s history, making the entire experience truly memorable.

We had a lovely day at this family owned vineyard, with great food and wines and a nice tour guide. If you would like to have a relaxing day and experience the Uruguayan asado, I can highly recommend it.

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of spending the day with Andres, our guide extraordinaire in Uruguay. From the moment we met, he had us in stitches, making us feel as though we’d known him for years. He was waiting for us bright and early, and the laughs started right away! On the drive to the stunning Pueblo Tannat winery, he shared fascinating bits of Uruguayan history that were as engaging as they were informative. We couldn’t have picked a better guide for our adventure and can't recommend Andres enough. We're already planning our next trip and know we'll see him again. Thanks, Andres, for a perfect day!
