Cross-country skiing is a great way to train and you will feel a real sense of satisfaction once you've got the hang of it after the trip, Ski along existing trails or create your own ones. They say that "Norwegians are born with skis on their feet", but you will pick it up soon too.
We will teach you everything you need to know to get started. How to put your ski on, basic techniques and also how to fall and get back up on your skis. With these basis skills under your belt, we will then trek through the beautiful alpine landscape together. Trust us: you don't need any experience - you will get that during the day along with our guides.

5.00Very well organised, and great fun! Suitable for complete beginners. Went as a family (2 old teens) Short walk to the rental shop where you get kitted out with boots and then a taxi ride to the local floodlit course where you get some skis and poles. Our guide Martin thoroughly explained everything and then we went through the basics before going on a reasonably long (~4km) trek. We got over 2 hrs on the actual skis, and it felt like plenty of time by the end!

4.00Julie had a delicate and patient approach to me as an absolute and nervous beginner. I was literally shaking before starting but, by the end of the route, I was able to slide downhill and even enjoy some adrenaline rush from it! It was snowing and everything around was quiet and peaceful, which made the experience even more evocative. We eventually were rewarded with a few slices of cake and coffee in the Café. They offer vegetarian and gluten free options, just ask upon booking. We also had an informal Q&A session with Julie about dog sledding and the like. Highly recommended.

5.00A beautiful setup in the Arctic region, the course is setup for the beginners with well laid skiing tracks. And also have some small slopes in between once you get used to it. Guide was amazing, you get to learn a lot about Tromso. All gears are provided and also some refreshments.

5.00Great introduction to cross country skiing - it was a fun little track with a couple of hills to go up and down also. Conditions were challenging with loads of snow but it was loads of fun!! Defn recommend
