Great way to learn about the historic sites in Istanbul, Turkiye. Be prepared to walk and engage as the history details are unveiled. Personally I learned new things about the Islamic religion.

Our tour guide, Ece (AJ), was incredibly knowledgeable and informative. She was personable and we felt completely safe while we were walking around Istanbul with her (We actually kinda felt like locals by the end of the tour). She did a great job of explaining the history, culture and customs of Turkey and Istanbul. Her passion and personality really made us enjoy ourselves and feel like we were her friends. She had great recommendations and was able to answer all of our questions.

Our experience with this tour guide was extremely disappointing. From the very beginning, he was rude, impatient, and completely intolerant, especially toward families with young children. He showed no understanding or empathy for the fact that we had kids in the group, and he constantly made us feel like we were a burden. What was most upsetting was how he treated one of the parents who took a few extra minutes because of their 4-year-old daughter. Instead of showing basic human decency, the guide raised his voice aggressively and acted as if he was ready to start a fight. It was unprofessional and unacceptable behavior, especially for someone in a role that requires patience, respect, and people skills. I would absolutely not recommend this guide to anyone — especially if you’re traveling with children or looking for a pleasant, respectful experience. He ruined what should have been a memorable and enjoyable part of our trip.
