The Grand Canyon of Oman offers breathtaking views. The drive to the (almost) highest point of Oman is over styles of slopes and partly unpaved road. The view over this valley is an absolute must see.

Not to be missed is the high-altitude hiking trail on the Grand Canyon of Oman. In the morning there are hardly any tourists here and the scenery of the canyon is unique. Access by road is also possible without four-wheel drive

It is an absolutely spectacular work of nature, a canyon a thousand meters high, which seems to be wedged in the depths of the earth. The trekking and the visit to the canyon to the abandoned village and its terraces are absolutely unmissable. It is about three and a half hours of walking, tiring, but spectacular. Every corner of the way hides a must-see landscape until the final destination, an enchanted village set among the rocks outside of time.

Would recommend this company if you are looking for a tour of the local Nizwa area. I received a very professional service from Bassam when visiting the office to book the tour. I had a tour with Ali, a Nizwa local, who had excellent English and is extremely knowledgeable about the local area.

This is a MUST do. Take some more stable hiking shoes and than ... start an amazing walk. It is approximately 7km for both directions with will take 2 hours. At the end there are some very old houses. At the walk you have an amazing view.
