We decided to visit for the tour as we had some friends staying with us and we had never visited raer before. It was a very friendly and informative visit and Matt the guide / distiller was superb, he really is an asset to the company. The whiskies at the tasting are very nice and because the distillery also produce gin the ladies with us we’re able mix the tasting with whisky and gin. I would definitely recommend the tour for anyone. Well done raer and Matt.

Great afternoon with the very knowledgeable Jethro as our guide. The selection of spirits and wines to sample after the tour was a hit with us all, definitely something for everyone to enjoy.

Very nice and informative tour. In addition, a very good tasting that resulted in some purchased bottles

Brilliant tour and lovely distillery. Katie's passion for her job and the distillery shone through. Lovely atmosphere in the bar and great that could choose what spirit to have for the tasting, perfect for people who don't like whisky. Had a fab day, looking forward to their single malt!

We live locally and had been meaning to book a tour for some time. When our overseas visitor came to stay it seemed the perfect time to book and share our national drink. On arrival there was plenty of parking and we were warmly welcomed by Chloe and then greeted by Katie. Katie’s knowledge was so impressive and with a warm, charming personality she was just fab. We have to mention that when Katie found out our family visitor was from Mexico she switched to the most perfect Spanish dialect and this was such a lovely touch. We all chose to do the whisky tasting although there were also options of gin and vodka which the distillery also produces. This part of the tour was so relaxed sitting in comfort, drinking lovely whisky, and well, just ‘Raer!’ Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Had a fantastic tour and tasting session with Katie. Really interesting and informative in a relaxed environment. So much so, that I’ve enquired about corporate sessions for work Would definitely recommend.

Visit to a new craft distillery. The tour was very interesting and informative with much more detail than many others. The tasting at the end was interesting, giving an insight into what the single malt will be like when it is released later in the year. Going by what I sampled it I expect it to be excellent. Topped off by meeting and chatting to one of the owners in the tasting bar Definitely worth a visit

Thank you, Matt, for a very informative and enjoyable tour and tasting. This was our introduction to Raer whisky and was a very pleasant surprise. It is so palatable to drink neat but I thought it was a whisky that would also be a great base for cocktails.

Stayed a night with a tour and tasting as a gift from my partners mum - I’ve never appreciated whisky before and I can now say that I am converted! I guess I’d never really been taught about it but our guide Katie was full of knowledge and I thought all their whisky was so delicious. Despite their selling point clearly being focused on them being a family business that used to be their farm the whole thing feels quite corporate, and what used to be an old orchard and playing fields now a vast concrete entryway with plastic astroturf out the back of the hotel units. (Sort of reminded me of Joni Mitchell;they paved paradise and put up a parking lot). But this is just an aesthetic qualm- if this is your vibe then it’s a nice place - the rooms are pretty nice! Everyone is very friendly

Found the whole experience excellent. Have done tours of distilleries of various sizes over the years but felt this was different. The small group (6) made it more personal and the guide (Jethro) clearly knew his stuff. Quite often these tours talk about generic processes however he focussed on what Jackton did differently and was very comfortable taking questions (you sometimes find guides struggle with anything slightly off-script). The tasting was really good with both Katie and Jethro helping create a very relaxed, informal and unhurried atmosphere. I was previously unaware of the facility and will certainly look in from time to time when passing.
