Sergio Ulate, director and founder with more than 15 years of experience and his passion for surfing, nature and culture, decided to join a group of surfers, nature lovers and local artists and create a company where they can share their lives pure. What To Expect
Once we pick them up at your accommodation we go to the Carara National Park, once there we stay for 3 or 4 hours making observation and photography of birds on very easily accessible trails that will provide us with a good number of species between about 20 to 40 in one Good morning having the opportunity to observe Macaws, Toucans, Motmots, Manaking and many more

5.00Sergio is awesome! We identified 87 species in just a few hours and saw all but 4 of them. He knows some great local places outside of the main parks and helped me identify many of the little brown birds that I would have never ID'd without him. I can't recommend him enough!

5.00Very knowledgeable and helpful guide who knew so much about the local area and where the birds were. Sergio is very friendly with excellent English language skills - and patient with a novice bird watcher! He is also a photographer and knows how to get the best shots. When I couldn’t get the shot w my camera he was happy to utilize his scope w my cell phone

5.00We had an exceptional experience with our guide, Sergio. Over two half days and one full day, he showed us an incredible variety of unique birds and helped us see the area in a completely new way. One highlight was a boat ride where we saw herons, kingfishers, and more. Thanks to his keen eyes and deep local knowledge, we spotted far more birds and animals than we ever would have noticed on our own. Sergio has a calm, quiet presence and let us set the pace, which made the experience feel relaxed and personal. He was endlessly patient as I practiced capturing macaws in flight while they flew back and forth to their nest. In Carara National Park, his skill at finding wildlife really stood out. He located hummingbird nests, pointed out a roosting bat, and helped us notice so much more than we would have on our own. His knowledge is deep and shared with genuine enthusiasm, and he has a way of making you feel both guided and free to explore. We learned a tremendous amount and came away with a much deeper appreciation for the birds and ecosystems of the area. We’re already planning our next visit! Highly recommended.

5.00We saw more than 40 birds, including a baby owl with parents, a pair of hawks nest hunting, velvety manikin, toucan, torgon, & a parrot leaving her hole in a tree. Sergio was knowledgeable and easy going. We were pleased that he showed us birds we may not have been able to find around our air byb. He left us with lots of beautiful photos. Wonderful experience!

5.00Sergio picked us up in the early morning and showed us some places with amazing bird life. We also went to the Carara National Park where he found lots of birds, including some rare ones. He also explained the ecosystem of that forest and was able to answer all our questions. He was the best guide we had during our three weeks tour. Very friendly, super knowledgeable, and most importantly high skills to find the birds. We highly recommend Sergio as a bird guide.

5.00We spent the first morning of the year with Sergio and we are not disappointed!! A 5 star guide and serious again +++++!! He is a valuable guide. He shares his passion, his knowledge, his funny anecdotes. It is completely present and available to our requests and questions. He took us to a few different places including a specific one to see up close the photogenic red macaws. We were near the Tarcoles River, stopped at a small farm on the way and it was at Carara National Park that we filled our bird list.between 30 and 40 species. Magnificent birds like the toucan, the red macaw, several woodpeckers, including the light-billed woodpecker that I wanted to meet so much❤️, a woodpecker with red wings also very pretty, trogons aurora, Ariadne of sophia, hummingbird of Elicia, the menu viron, green kingfisher, Amazon has golden neck, wren and warblers, vultures and more. Not to mention the impressive lizards and the group of howler monkeys who joined our hike. Thank you Sergio for all these colors and this privileged moment. Tobi and Melanie.
