• Excellent Jaguar trail with Gabriel!

  The Jaguar Trail with Gabriel was another highlight of our trip. Without him, we honestly would have walked past most of the wildlife without noticing anything - but thanks to him, we saw monkeys (including a mother with her baby), tiny frogs, sloths, and many different birds. Gabriel has an incredible depth of knowledge about both the animals and the plants in the park. He explains everything in a really interesting way and answers any question you might have. He also has a very calm and respectful approach to nature, which made the whole experience even better. On top of that, he is just a super nice guy with a great personality.   The Jaguar trail with Gabriel is excellent, the truth is that one can walk this trail alone, but Gabriel proved to be an expert in the area. He knows all the animals and where to find them, he is able to identify them even by their sounds, without him we would not have seen half! 100% recommended!

  We were on the jaguar trail with Gabriel. We really liked it. Gabriel is such a nice and knowledgeable guide. He knows exactly where to look and what to look for. So we have seen some animals. Very clear recommendation to go the trail with Gabriel. As a layman, it's really hard to spot the animals.

  We had a great explore through the national park with Gabriel. Whilst at the start it seemed like maybe the animals were all asleep, in the end we saw an amazing amount, including a Mexican anteater which is pretty rare! Just goes to show that patience pays off, and Gabriel really did a great job at telling us lots about not only the animals and insects that we saw, but also the plants. We were in a small group of 5, which was really great. Tour took about 3hrs in total but it flew by! Would highly recommend.

  Amazing tour in Tortuguero natural reserve. If the trail is muddy due to the weather you can rent boots at the entrance. If there is even the smallest thing to see, Gabriel will spot it with lazer eyes. Spider monkeys, tucans, parrots, iguanas, ant eaters and if lucky even the cutest silky ant eater ! Gabriel is so kind, patient and passionate about nature and animals it's contagious and he makes sure everybody feels safe, if there is any problem he will adapt the tour.   Gabriel is a fantastic guide to see the Jaguar trail with! We were walking without a guide in the national park and saw him doing a fantastic job finding animals. He took time to point them out to us even though we were not on his tour so we asked if we could join him for the tours he was doing the next day . It was so worth the money! We saw many birds like toucans . We also sloths, spider monkeys and anteaters during the day. We saw frogs too. Even in moments where there were fewer animals he was very knowledgeable about the area and plants, so I highly recommend going with him. He takes his time and is good at knowing how to encourage the animals to come closer. He makes sure everyone gets to see and is great at taking photos with the telescope too. I focused on taking videos so these are scree shots but some people took great photos

  Gabriel is an incredible tour guide!! We did the jaguar trail and the night walk in Tortugero with him. Thanks to his expert eye, we saw many sloths including babies, spider monkeys, colourful frogs, anteaters, toucans, Trojan, a green vine snake, and a rare black and white owl. Gabriel is friendly, kind and very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the animals and plants and is patient to allow everyone to enjoy every moment. He communicates excellently and teaches about the flora, fauna and Costa Rican history throughout the tours. He is also skilled with the telescope to allow close up views.   The tour with Gabriel is high quality (compared to others), informative and professional! We saw an incredible number of animals (with binoculars/telescopic/tripod from the guide) and had an amusing time! Thank you so much! I would love to come back:)
