We saw so many different animals, with great treks with wonderful guides, truly the experience of a lifetime. The food and accommodation was great too :) Thank you so much to Chris, Crin and Visna(?) and everybody else at Jahoo.

Amazing 2 day stay at the Jahoo camp in Kea Seima Wildlife Sanctuary. We walked about 6 h per day with a night walk on day 1 and the gibbon spotting on day 2. The experience was fantastic and we saw a lot of animals, birds, lizard, insects. Note that this is wildlife and it's a lot of walking and observation to witness a few elusive moments through binoculars. Amazing in my opinion 😊. The staff is also very professional and passionate about what they do, so, you will feel very welcome. The food is delicious, they know everything you wonder about the animals there, the facilities at the camp ar every comfortable and clean. The individual huts are very beautiful and the beds are comfy (with mosquito nets). If you like wildlife observation and to support it's preservation through ecotourism, go for it. If it's in your budget, it's worth all the money 😊

We spent two days at Jahoo which included 3 x 2 hours of trekking in the jungle with very experienced guides each day. The guides are a mix of Khmer and Bunong cultures, with Bunong people leading and sharing cultural practices along the way. They are absolutely amazing at spotting wildlife! We saw a Pygmy slow loris on our night trek, incredible that they spotted it about 50m away. They are super patient with visitors and eager to share information. Over our two day stay, we saw gibbons, pigtail macaques, douc langurs, numerous birds, reptiles (lizards and snakes), insects and plants. The guides cook a traditional Bunong bamboo soup for lunch in the forest on the first day, then sling a hammock in the trees for an after lunch nap in the jungle. Heaven! There is a lot of high quality scientific research done here too; worth supporting if you can.

Well organised, welcoming and very informative. The Bunong hosts and guides are keen to educate you on their culture, wildlife and environment. The facilities are very good and food is great . We were able to see a variety of wildlife and enjoyed the dawn chorus from the gibbons - with our guide we followed one family at a distance. Highly recommended

My wife and I spent 2 days at Jahoo. It was the best 2 days of our 3 week tour of Cambodia. We were picked up from our hotel by Chris who explained the history and concept of Jahoo. We were checked in at the camp and introduced to our guides and immediately out for a full day of trekking in the forest. We saw Macaques, Langurs, Gibbons, large black Squirrels and birdlife. Lunch was cooked in the forest followed by a short sleep. Back to camp for dinner before we went out for a night walk and then to our comfortable bed in one of the bamboo chalets. The next morning we were up at 5am and into the forest to hear the Gibbons sing and to follow them for an hour. This was an incredible experience, the sights and sounds were remarkable. Back for breakfast and then another rewarding day trekking in the forest. On our return to our hotel we mentioned our only disappointment was not seeing a Giant Hornbill so Chris took a diversion to a local village where one had been spotted and on cue in flew a male hornbill. Thanks to Chris and thanks to Jahoo we had a wonderful time.

My wife and I spent 2 days at Jahoo during February. It was the highlight of our 3 week trip to Cambodia. On the first day we were picked up from our hotel by Chris who explained the history and concept of Jahoo. We checked in by 10am and were immediately introduced to our guides and off into the forest for the remainder of the day. This included a forest trek, followed by lunch cooked in the forest, a short sleep in a hammock and then a further trek. We saw Macaques, Langurs and Gibbons as well as Squirrels and birdlife. Dinner was followed by a night walk and a comfortable nights sleep in a chalet. The next day we rose at 5am to go into the forest to hear the gibbons sing and then to follow the group for an hour. This was an incredible experience. After breakfast we ventured back into the forest for a full day, similar to the first day. We left Jahoo exhausted but thrilled by the experience. On our return journey with Chris (from Jahoo) my wife was relaying our thrills but mentioned her disappointment at not seeing a giant hornbill. Chris drove us to a local village where a hornbill had been sighted and a male turned up just on cue. Thanks to Chris and thanks to Jahoo. This was a wonderful experience.

Had a very good experience on the 2-day Jahoo Gibbon Trekking. Everything was well organized, the food was good, and the beds were comfortable. The guides were especially great! They were very kind and clearly very experienced. They made a real effort to spot wildlife and were true experts at finding animals I would never have seen myself. We saw gibbons multiple times, black-shanked doucs, as well as a snake, scorpions, and several beautiful birds. I especially appreciated how respectful they were toward the wildlife, strictly following protocols to avoid disturbing the animals. This is how wildlife tours should be conducted! Malin, pur contact person, was also very kind and helpful during the tour!

Jahoo is incredible. It is a social project that will eventually be turned over to the hands of the local indigenous people of Cambodia - the Bunong people. For the moment, they are in training, to be guides, researchers, and so on. Their knowledge of the wildlife and forests, as well as their learning of English, are both impressive. More important than their knowledge, is their care and kindness, to both nature, and guests. There were only warm eyes and wide smiles. The animals, in the end, were secondary. However, it was wonderful to be taken on treks, at all times of day, to witness and observe different fauna. From civit cats, to gibbon apes, and so much more in between. The setting was also a marvel. Natural materials of bamboo, married with modern materials of glass skylights. Mosquito nets, and shared showers that face out into the forest (yes, they're still private). It was a great lodge in the wilderness. Then there's the food, of banana pudding and banana muffins, and, well, bananas. But everything tasted flavorful - with options of varying spice levels! Please come, stay, support the project.

Jahoo was a fantastic experience. The gibbons were amazing, and the Bunong (and international) guides were so knowledgeable. Lunch in the jungle near a stream was also a highlight. It was educational, interesting, and enjoyable. The lodge/facilities are also very nice. We only went for the day and wished we had spent a night there, too. Jahoo is truly working to craft a sustainable situation -- balancing wildlife conservation with the needs of the local communities. An impressive effort.

We spent three unforgettable days at Jahoo and had an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. After being picked up in Sen Monorom, we stayed in a beautiful bamboo bungalow where we could gaze at the night sky and wake up to the sound of gibbons singing in the early morning. It was the perfect setting to fully immerse ourselves in nature. On our first jungle walk, we learned about the diverse wildlife in the sanctuary. Along the way, our guides collected wild ginger and rattan, which they used to prepare a delicious lunch cooked in bamboo over an open fire. After a relaxing nap in a hammock, we continued our hike and were rewarded with some truly special wildlife encounters. In the evenings, we joined night walks after dinner, spotting different nocturnal species and experiencing the forest in a completely different way. We especially appreciated how much time and care the team took to answer all our questions about their research projects. The guides were exceptional — incredibly knowledgeable, skilled at spotting wildlife, and genuinely dedicated to making our stay meaningful and memorable. The highlight of our trip was the early morning gibbon walk, where we first heard them singing and later saw the entire family together — an unforgettable moment. Jahoo is perfect for anyone seeking authentic wildlife encounters in a respectful, non-intrusive way. If you want to spend your days immersed in nature, walking through the jungle, learning about wildlife, and supporting local communities and conservation research at the same time, this experience is truly for you.
