Hawa Mahal - The Palace of Breeze
Hawa Mahal, the most iconic landmark of Jaipur, was built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh. Known as the Palace of Winds, it was designed so the royal ladies could observe the everyday life of the city while remaining unseen. The palace features multiple tiers of beautifully curved arches, adorned with delicate ‘jali’ latticework screens.

5.00Visited Jaipur on our North India tour and stated 3 days. Our very friendly and knowledgeable guide Ajay took us to the main sites like Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Amber Palace and Birla Mandir. Ajay explained well all of the history behind the various sites and times. He accommodated well the needs of a middle sized group and we felt very well looked after. We also saw a carpet manufacturer and block printing demonstration. Can 100% recommend Jaipur sightseeing with Ajay as guide.

5.00We visited India for a 2 week tour and Ajay was our personal guide. We were very lucky as he is so knowledgeable and also very friendly. He tunes into the needs of individuals in the group and ensured we were all happy. He was very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. He helped us negotiate tips as a group which was great. If I wanted to visit India again, I will definitely contact Ajay to guide us.

5.00Ajay was our guide throughout a fantastic 2 week tour of northern India, which included 3 days in and around Jaipur. Ajay was a great guide. He is very knowledgeable and went to great lengths to meet the needs of a fairly varied group. Ajay was happy to use his local knowledge and expertise to enhance the whole experience. Above all, Ajay had a great raport with the group and certainly understood our sense of humour.

5.00Ajay's India Beat Tour of Dehli and Agra. This tour was probably the highlight of my trip to India and Sri Lanka. Ajay's knowledge of the history of the magnificent buildings and venues we visited and the people who built and occupied them was extensive, interesting and very informative. His organization of our time meant that we packed a very considerable amount of sightseeing in the few days we spent with him. I enjoyed the fact that he gave us the opportunity to explore what we were most interested in, at our our own pace. Thank you Ajay for being a professional and well organized guide.

5.00We were a group of 8 friends (4 couples) on a tour from Delhi through to Udaipur. In Jaipur for 2 days Ajay Singh was our private guide. He did a fabulous job of showing us the best sights of Jaipur as well as some places we had not heard of (Monkey temple). Ajay was throughly knowledgeable and communicated very well in English for us. Would definitely recommend. It’s a beautiful city and we hope to be back soon!
