Unlike the usual heritage walks that stop at monuments, “Once Upon a Time in Jaipur” is about the stories that still breathe between the walls. This walk takes you beyond history — into the gossip, traditions, and everyday life of the Pink City. You’ll listen to real tales of faith, caste, and community, discover how old beliefs shape modern Jaipur, and see the city through the eyes of its people — the priests, shopkeepers, bangle makers, and chai sellers who carry centuries of culture in their daily lives. It’s not about checking sights off a list; it’s about feeling the pulse of Jaipur — laughing, listening, and learning like a true local.

Step into the heart of Jaipur’s old city, where every lane whispers a story and every corner hums with life. On this walking tour, we wander through the back lanes of the Pink City, past crumbling havelis, vibrant temples echoing with bells, and bustling bazaars overflowing with color, chaos, and charm. The air is alive with the scent of incense, street food, and spices, while the rhythmic calls of vendors, the chatter of locals, and the honking of scooters weave together in perfect Indian harmony. You’ll meet artisans at work, food vendors stirring their magic, and locals eager to share tales of caste, religion, and everyday life. Watch out for the jumping monkeys leaping across rooftops — and don’t forget to master the mysterious Indian head nodding language, where a shake could mean yes, no, or maybe! Between temple bells, laughter, gossip, and legends, experience Jaipur not as a tourist, but as part of its living, breathing story.

Brilliant tour guide company!! Dinesh was very helpful in putting everything together. He added all the Must See places in the tour. Our driver Santosh was a very safe driver with all the chaotic driving in india. He was on time & made sure every spot was covered!!

Deepak was an expert guide for all of the side streets and behind the scenes of Jaipur. We had a special tour of the Jaipur flower market with marigolds 🌼visited historic Havelis, drank local Lassi, shopped in a spice and vegetable market, had local bangles made for us, ate samosas on the street, met snake charmers, and spent time at the cafe overlooking the Hawa Mahal. It was an amazing day experiencing the history and culture of Jaipur at ground level. Amazing experience!!

I had the pleasure to experience two tours with Deepak, the walking tour of Jaipur and a sunset walk to the Monkey and Sun Temple. Both were truly outstanding! Deepak is a very friendly and fun person, who knows Jaipur inside out and is willing to share its secrets and hidden corners. He showed me a lot of places that I would have never been able to find. He's very passionate about his city and talks about it with an enthusiasm that is contagious. Most of all, when I was with Deepak I never felt like a tourist, but a friend, sitting with him and other locals having chai or being welcomed by one of his friends at the flower market with a garland. If you want to discover the soul of Jaipur, don't hesitate to book a tour with Deepak!

We enjoyed every minute of our tour with Deepak. He seems to know everything about the old city of Jaipur and everyone in it and he has a great sense of fun. Deepak is a great storyteller and speaks excellent English. We visited places and learned things that we would never have found from a guidebook. Our tour lasted 3 hours or so, with gentle walking, visiting temples, commercial and residential areas and fresh food market. All in all, a great tour.

The best tour of REAL life in Jaipur! A stark contrast to the amazing palaces, this tour walked us through the backstreets. we saw locals at work making bangles and food and jewellery. We visited temples and a school. Learned about the way of life in Jaipur. Took a short crazy Tuk Tuk ride. Sampled milk cake, bought a few souvenirs and finished the day at sunset at Monkey temple overlooking the whole amazing city. Deepak was simply brilliant! Patient, fun and VERY informative. A brilliant day out. Highly recommended!

Deepak took us to the heart of magical Jaipur - the old trading streets and Jori market. He painted fascinating picture of how the historic city worked with it’s merchants, castes and craftsmen and we saw life today - a temple, a school and architectural gems.
