Discover the rich history of Travnik, which became the capital of the Ottoman province of Bosnia and the residence of the Bosnian viziers in 1699. The city became an important center of government in the whole Western frontier of the empire, and consulates were established by the governments of France and Austria-Hungary. After Travnik we're heading to one of the most beautiful cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jajce. Beautiful waterfall combined with complex history make it stand out among others. "Dear friend, I'm writing to you from the town where in the very centre of it the most beautiful waterfall in the whole empire is located" - (it was written on a postcard sent from Jajce to Prag by Czech tourists, in the late 19th century, when Bosnia was part of Austro-Hungarian empire). Last but not least, you will visit watermills that are beautiful and straight out of fairy tale.

Fortress of Jajce
The next stop is medieval city of Jajce, often known as King city. It is one of the best-preserved fortified capitals of the Bosnian Kingdom, the last stronghold before to kingdom dissolved under the pressure of military advancement at the onset of Ottoman Empire takeover.
Catacomb of Jajce
Catacombs of Jajce is the name given by locals to underground Christian small church so it is not a "catacomb" in true sense. Church has been carved in a single rock or a cave in late Romanesque style.

We had an absolutely outstanding tour with Emir! From the moment we met him, he was not only professional and incredibly knowledgeable, but also funny, engaging, and genuinely warm — by the end of the day, he felt more like a friend than a guide. He brought Sarajevo’s history to life with captivating stories and insights, taking us to unforgettable sites while also sharing thoughtful recommendations that made the rest of our trip even better. His passion and expertise shone through at every stop, and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. I walked away having learned so much about Sarajevo’s rich and complex history, and I can honestly say this was one of the highlights of our entire trip. If you’re visiting Sarajevo, I cannot recommend Emir and this tour highly enough — it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

It was very private, only 3 people. Aid is a great person, friendly, welcoming and a knowledgeable guide. All the best from Rome, my friend!

Absolutely brilliant tour and guide (Benjamin) we laughed for 10 hours and had so much fun. The tour was informative and interesting. The time flew by and from start to finish we were taken care of and there was nothing that was too much for Benjamin to help with. Very kind, considerate and confident in his knowledge. Highly recommend this company when in Bosnia 🇧🇦. 5 🌟 all the way across the board. Thank you ☺️

This has to be in my top 3 tours of all time and I have done hundreds. The guide Ben was brilliant, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Nothing was too much, it was like a road trip with friends and the day flew by. Yes it is a long day but the landscape and sights make up for it. If you’re in Sarajevo please do look up this travel agent and checkout their excursions as you won’t be disappointed. 5/5 🌟

Benjamin was our guide and we had a great time. I enquired a lot about the history of Bosnia (not per se part of the tour) and he answered all my questions. We visited all the places, unfortunately there was some event going on at Jajce (not his fault of course). He recommended us a good spot to eat at Travnik and over all he was good company and easy to talk to.

Great tour saw some parts of Bosnia that wouldn’t have been accessible without renting a car. About 3 hours each way

Ahmed was a knowledgeable, humorous and helpful guide. When traffic was worse than expected he still managed to keep everything on time and provide us with the time we wanted in every destination. Pick up and drop off worked perfectly for me even down to dropping me at the airport as part of the drop off stops. High praise for our guide and relaxing informative trip!

Frankly I think it's easier and cheaper to just go on your own on the intercity bus. The tour guides had very limited knowledge and had no idea how rare and interesting certain things were nearby that weren't even on the tour. Time management wasn't great, but I was prepared with snacks and water. Aside from the hour we spent not far outside of Sarajevo that morning sitting around at a gas station so the guides could drink coffee and smoke, we only stopped to eat at around 5pm, and the day began at 8am. I had to grab a sandwich from a bakery and eat as I walked to keep up with the group. Wasn't the worst, it was mostly okay, but I wouldn't recommend this trip, unfortunately. If we had arrived in Travnik just a little earlier, I would have just caught the bus and gone back to Sarajevo.
