  I recently did a one-day hike to Jamacho, and it turned out to be one of those simple yet deeply refreshing experiences. The trail through Shivapuri National Park was peaceful, surrounded by dense forest, chirping birds, and fresh mountain air that felt almost therapeutic. As you ascend, the noise of the city slowly fades, replaced by calmness and the quiet rhythm of nature. Reaching the top at Jamacho Gumba was truly rewarding. On a clear day, the panoramic views are stunning, you can see the Kathmandu Valley spread out below and even catch glimpses of distant हिमालय ranges. The combination of spiritual serenity and natural beauty makes it a perfect short escape from busy city life. What made the experience even better was the excellent coordination by Goreto Treks and Travel. Everything was well managed, smooth, and comfortable throughout the day. A special mention to our supervisor, Madhu, whose friendly nature and professionalism stood out. He made sure everyone was comfortable, motivated, and enjoying the hike, while also sharing helpful insights along the way. Overall, it was a memorable and fulfilling day. I’d highly recommend this hike to anyone looking for a quick nature getaway near Kathmandu, especially with a reliable team like Goreto Treks and Travel and a supportive guide like Madhu.

  Sirjan was an excellent guide: friendly, interesting and good company. I would recommend as a nice day hike near Kathmandu.

  I booked this tour very last minute, and it has ended up being one of my favourite things I have done in Kathmandu. Of course, the views along the trail and the finishing point were absolutely stunning, but the standout from this tour is absolutely the team. Suren, my guide, was so incredibly patient and motivating, even when halfway I thought maybe I couldn't do it, and had so many fascinating stories to share, even offering to help me out for future trails! I cannot express enough how amazing he made this experience. If you are looking for a rewarding, peaceful hike near Kathmandu, this is the one for you!

• Great trek to the summit of Jamacho

  Great day with Suren. We hiked to the very top. 2487 feet elevation from our start point. The views where amazing, and you can get refreshments at the summit. Ideal if you dont want to get up at 4am and hike in the cold in the Himalayas. A sensible alternative. With a 10am start.

  Suren and the whole team were so helpful and friendly. They go above and beyond to ensure your well looked after. They take pride in what they do and ensure that everyone doing a hike, whether it's a day or a long hike to basecamp, they will always look after you. I highly recommend using bold himalaya.
