A great day out - I'd probably dock half a star as the guide didn't really introduce himself, and occasionally wanted to stay back while we adventured. But he also handled a situation with a very difficult (spoilt) passenger who didn't take into account that these tours need to be flexible when the weather gets extreme - just go with the flow, make friends, and have fun. P.S. always, I mean always take a coat and a towel. You can leave things in the jeep but the weather in Cyprus will turn corners quicker. Great tour, would recommend.

Superb experience, despite a not terrible weather. We're taking it easy. The driver was great! Too bad not to lower the price when you can't do everything because of the precipitation of his last days. But really great anyway. A little disappointed for the turtle part we thought we'd see a center, not just an empty beach at this time of year.

Bambos was an excellent driver enabling us to see different areas that we would not have driven ourselves Definitely need comfortable shoes and good idea to take water There were only 8 of us but that was plenty as all adults and would have been a real squash in back of Jeep if there had been 10 of us

To start this review on a positive, some of the sights we saw were pretty. Unfortunately it felt rushed, the guide felt rushed and just felt like they had somewhere better to be. I wish there was more clarification on when we can go down to Laura Bay because of the time (March) we couldn't go and because of the timing we didn't get to fully explore the gorge like the pictures, got to see other people go in further but not us. I think you need to put in your description; the expectation of what to see depending on the months you go for example Jan-March Laura Bay isn't visitable because if I knew this was the case I probably wouldn't have booked it, same with the Gorge. In the description it says you get to study the native flowers and animals but again we didn't do that, it felt like the guide had somewhere better to be. It also says local wine tasting, again didn't do that. Overall I wouldn't recommend this tour because of our experience.

The trip was great, we would never have visited half of the places we got to in the Jeep. Our guide Bamboss was great, he said his english was not very good, but we felt he was excellent and great at giving us the history and background of the places we visited. The Jeep was filled with like minded people all out to enjoy the day and honestly I would have joined the other tour with the same company if I had the time on my trip. Ones for next time when we have more than one day to fit these things in. The price of the tour was more than fair given the amount of driving that we had to do to visit the sites. I would not have dreamt of driving on some of the roads we had to use, but the whole trip was amazing. Communication from the operator was excellent and we were updated leading right up to pick up. Thank you Stevies Jeep Safaris!

The experience didn’t include the Avakas Gorge as it’s shut and has been shut for the last 15 days. The advert said it included a hike in the Avakas but the company did not bother to inform in advance that it was shut. I was last to get on the jeep so had to sit right the back. Due the fact I am 6ft 3”, sitting right over the back wheel, with a very low roof and with extremely bumpy tracks…… I kept bumping my head on the roof. The driver slowed down as he approached the bumps when remembered however I still finished the days with several lumps on my head. I couldn’t hear the drivers commentary for much of the time. Due to the noise of the engine, the driver didn’t have any amplification, he was facing away from me and he was speaking in English which meant others on the jeep who didn’t speak English weren’t listening and were busy chattering away in their own dialects. Their children were also constantly noisy. I informed the driver I couldn’t hear very well and to be fair he did try and speak up! All in all it was a bit of a shambles and it’s not a tour I would recommend particularly for anyone who I’d 6ft 3” and wants to listen to the guide.

We had no expectation about this tour but it was so amazing. We were a small group, just us and another couple. Our guide Bambos was amazing, he showed us so many things which were not planned. It was truly amazing.

It was a fun trip, mixed local experiences and amazing sight seeing. We were 4 people in total due to the low season and Pambos is a wonderful guide!

We enjoyed our Jeep safari today with Bambos. Despite not visiting the Akamas Gorge due to rockfall from yesterday's stormy weather, there was plenty of time for coffee and comfort stops. There was also time to see other places of interest. There was time for lunch at Latchi, but it was getting quite late (15:00 we arrived), so we decided to forego lunch in order to get back to the hotel in good time (16:45). Bambos is a good guide who is knowledgeable about the places we visited. His jeep driving skills are exemplary despite the terrain being very rough in some areas of the Akamas peninsula. I'd recommend sitting in the front-facing seat if you don't fancy having your bones rattled too much at the back.

Mario out driver was a hoot! Lively personality and very affable Excellent decision to take us to the Avankas gorge first...cool...Cyprus have superb but unusually warm temps week we were there...and only 4 other people there..as we walked back to the jeep hoards of people were heading to the gorge! Enjoyed a coffee over looking stunning turtle beach, much needed ice cream by the sea in Latchi, and as it was too choppy to swim...only 2 people out of 8 wanted to anyway..Mario suggested going to a winery instead.... SUPER suggestion....real bonus Finished off by caves and the famous ship wreck...cave scenery beautiful... Only thing I wouldn't bother with is Aphrodite's grotto....just tourist trap We all had a really enjoyable, fun, rewarding day....highly recommend it! Plus Mario picked us up from our hotel although it wasn't in the pick up list...much appreciated
