My wife and I had a great village bike tour experience in the Jinja area. Our two skilful guides, Lewis and Pious were able to adapt the course to our fitness level and cycling abilities. This enabled both of us to maximise our experience. There were several bike frame and helmet sizes available, allowing us to find a comfy fit. These were well-maintained hardtail mountain bikes. Features included Shimano chainrings/cassettes/gears, disc brakes all around, a decent (yet not too aggressively firm) saddle, plus a saddle-cover. We both had 1H 30 mins of ride time on trails that were mostly composed of unpaved agricultural tracks and trails. These can get really narrow and enjoyably technical in places. The gradients to climb and descend are moderate, not steep. Cycling in Uganda with Jinja Bike Tours is a great way to learn a little bit about village life, as well as Uganda’s rich flora whilst supporting local communities. I recommend Jinja Bike Tours to anyone who is thinking about cycling in Uganda and beyond. You can certainly go further with them. Next time I am in Jinja I will make time for this company again.

Great trip bike trip to tea and sugar cane plantations and riding through small villages. Guides were very good to explain both farmland and cultural issues. Took bike security seriously. We can absolutely recommend a bike trip with Jinja Bike Tours and Safaris

Louis and Paris made us have a very fun day out on the trail! They were kind and patient and deserve a lot of credit for the way they guided me and wife on the bike tour. They also shared stories and facts about different parts of the tour that made the trip very interesting.

We had an absolutely amazing 8-day journey with Louis (the leader of these tours & safaris) as our driver and guide, taking us from Kampala through Queen Elizabeth National Park, exploring both the north and south sides, and ending in Entebbe. Louis was incredibly positive, informative, and made everything so easy and enjoyable for us. He was super adaptable - anytime we needed to change plans he was totally flexible. He had great suggestions for activities, knew the best spots for wildlife viewing, and went out of his way to make sure we had unique experiences. From helping us book last-minute activities to making sure we got to see everything we were hoping for (and more!), Louis truly made this trip unforgettable. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone traveling in Uganda and will definitely reach out to him again for future visits!
