• creepy guide that doesn’t give the tour requested

  The guide I was given was texting and calling me prior to arrival in the city trying to get me to start my tour earlier than I had booked it. When I finally met up with my guide at the Mehrangarh Fort, he seemed friendly but has a dirty bandage hand that seemed odd. As the tour went on, he continually kept touching me and wanted to hug me and kept showing me gods of fertility talking about their penises, and asking me about sex education in my country. As a single woman traveling, it was extremely uncomfortable! He only took me to only one place for local food and I had thought the tour would be more food focused. when we arrived at the Clocktower market, he took me to stores where people were showing me their goods to sell …. down in the basement. This is not part of the tour and not something I wanted to be doing, and I told him. He skipped the stepwell and when I mentioned it, he wanted me to contact him directly to go with him the next day. He has texted me since the tour ended and I would like him to stop

  Our Guide Imtiaz was very knowledgeable about Jodhpur’s history and we walked up the hilly area to the Jwalamukhi temple as well as a Hanuman temple. Morning weather was cool and we went downhill to the blue city, a labyrinth of narrow lanes with colorful motifs. We ended at the back gate of Mehrangarh Fort and continued to the spice market and snacked on chilly pakoras, samosa. Imtiaz showed us the famous lassi store and tea stalls too. It was a fun morning. But it’s not for those with leg / back pain. Beginning hike uphill is not easy

• An intimate way to experience an historic Indian city

  This was a private guided walking tour that started for us at the Sardar Market, made our way up to the Chamunda Devi Temple, then down into and through the historic Blue City in Jodhpur, before riding an autorickshaw back to Sardar Market for a guided food and shopping experience. He also took us to the beautiful water reservoir for the Mehrangarh fort that happened to be open that day. Our guide was knowledgeable and got some great photos for us. We would love to do it again.

  Our group had a fabulous time seeing the streets of Jodhpur. Our guide was kind and knowledgeable. He made sure we saw many unique off the beaten path places, great views and he took lovely photos of us. I would certainly sign up for this again. Thank you!
