Reception at the airport or at the land terminal and transfer to the office of Monte Amazónico Lodge for the corresponding records. Transfer to the captaincy port where we will take the boat for an hour, to our hostel -Welcome meeting, with a refreshing fruit-based juice from our region. Installation in our respective rooms. After a restful rest, you will have as an introduction a walk for two hours in the dense tropical forest, guided by an expert local guide, who will take you through our trails and you will appreciate a variety of trees that can be more than five hundred years old, as well , you can observe some species of wild animals such as: toucans, orioles, macaws, monkeys, snakes, butterflies, etc. You will have the opportunity to live the magic of our Amazon rainforest that is within the TAMBOPATA NATIONAL RESERVE, (278,000 thousand hectares protected). After lunch, we will visit the "Monkey Island", located in front of our Lodge crossing the Madre de Dios River where we will find different species such as the family of Capuchin monkeys that live on the island and return to the Lodge. At night we will go in search of white alligators that are usually found on sandbars, in the Madre de Dios River for which it will be necessary to carry a flashlight. Also, we can see the capybara the largest rodent in the world that can weigh 60 kilos, return to the lodge, dinner and rest.

After breakfast we will walk 3 km. In the middle of the dense rainforest and we will go to the Sandoval Lake (habitat of piranhas) one of the largest in the Tambopata National Reserve and we will ride a rowing boat where we will appreciate a great variety of birds and monkeys of different species, (shansho, cormorant, jacanas, puma garza, chickens, cotomono, monk friar, black machin, pichicos and lazy). Perhaps we will have an encounter with the giant otter family (almost two meters long) that is in danger of extinction and the largest registered alligators over 4 meters long, return to the Lodge to enjoy the typical lunch. At night we will have a walk where we can appreciate the diversity of species of insects, amphibians, reptiles and other nocturnal animals. - dinner and rest

5.30a.m. In the morning we will make a small walk along the Canopy Walk-Way, about 30 meters high, which will allow us to appreciate nature from the highest possible, we will also have a panoramic view of the Madre de Dios River. From the platforms we will observe different species of birds, such as toucans, macaws, tangaras, orioles, it will be a wonderful experience. After breakfast we prepare for an activity of challenges on the trees over 30 meters high, for this activity we will have an instructor guide who will give us a talk on how to use the safety harness for the Zip-line, feeling the adrenaline at glide through the trees, return to the Lodge.- Lunch and rest. In the afternoon the challenge is to cross the Madre de Dios River by kayak, on the way we can appreciate the fascinating sunset.

2.00The jungle is beautiful and the activities are nice too, but the organization of the days needs a complete review. There were many idle times — sometimes even more than two hours between one activity and the next (without any real need for rest, since before that we had only done a short half-hour walk in the forest) — and no alternative options were offered. The activities were also poorly distributed across the days. For example, the third day was very empty, and the third night was completely useless since we left early in the morning. Additionally, I had added through the agency a visit to “Collpa la Cachuela” (to see the macaws) for $50 — absolutely an excessive price for what it offered. Unfortunately, this poor organization spoils places and activities that would otherwise be wonderful.

5.00My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights here and it was an amazing experience. I've been to the jungle before but first time for my girlfriend and it's a very good introduction to a jungle experience. Super clean and comfortable lodges. Activities are all very well planned and guides are very knowledgeable. The food, which is included, is amazing. There's even a pool which is great for down time. All the staff who work there are very friendly and willing to help make your experience as good as possible. We really enjoyed all the walks and boats/kayaking and fishing. We were lucky and got to see lots of wildlife. Would definitely recommend. Big shout out to Rodrigo and John, thank you.

4.00Our jungle tour was an absolute highlight of our trip! The organization was good, the activities exciting, and the nature just breathtaking. Our guide Fernando in particular made the experience perfect – he was incredibly dedicated, knew an answer to every question and infected us with his enthusiasm for the rainforest. The accommodations were simple but perfectly adequate for the jungle experience. The food was delicious, but could have been a bit more varied. A small criticism: The zip-line was fun, but it didn’t meet European safety standards – modernization would be desirable here. Overall, however, a great tour that we can recommend to anyone who wants to experience the Amazon up close. Many thanks to Fernando and the whole team!

5.00It were absolutely 4 amazing days. We went there with the night bus and took the flight back to Cusco. The last day ist just breakfast and leaving to Puerto Maldonado. Beautiful lodges beautiful people it was the best experience in my 10 week stay in Peru. Just enjoy the beautiful Nature of the reservoir. If you book it in Puerto Maldonado it is cheaper. We were send there by a friend because she recommended it to us and it was absolutely wonderful.

5.00Could not recommend this trip more. Planned to perfection with great activities but also enough spare time to chill / cool down in the pool. There is no AC or hot water - but we were pleased for the cold shower! We are both gluten free and the kitchen were great with accommodating this. Our guide Ronal was fantastic, so knowledgeable and passionate with a good sense of humour. He really made our experience. Make sure you take lots of repellent - we covered ourselves and have hardly come away with any bites. Lovely pina colada at the bar! And the pool is a really good size - just make sure you take your repellent there with you! The 4 day 3 night tour was perfect - a good range of activities / earlier and later mornings. FYI the boat on the last day leaves at 9 AM so you will be back in Peurto Maldonado by 10 if you have a flight later in the day :) 100% would recommend this trip! Thank you!

5.00Outstanding tour. Our guide, Ronal (might have misspelled his name) was fantastic. I've read some other reviews and I'm not sure what the other users were expecting; with this tour you are in the jungle with no air conditioning and no hot water to shower with. I actually loved having it this way, making it a very authentic experience. The entire staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to my elderly mother, always checking up on her and asking me how she was doing. All meals were fresh and home-made. If you are looking for a rainforest tour in Puerto Maldonado, look no further than this tour, highly recommended. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

3.00Lots of interesting animals. Food was great and guides were too. Accommodation was very basic and had seen better days. More activities are needed for colder days as there is nothing to do when not on a tour. We left a day early as it was so cold! In warmer weather it would be different but be aware that it’s cold showers and no fan/aircon. The windows are mesh and huts made from plywood so super basic but clean.
