A perfect day out in the jungle. We visited an indigenous village where we were shown how they make darts and got to shoot too. A big thank you to Sham, our guide and our driver Suresh. They were both amazing and kept us informed the whole time.

A great trip to the jungle. The boat ride was amazing too. One of the biggest highlights is definitely visiting an indigenous village in the jungle where you get to see how Thule make their blow darts and you get to shoot too. A big shout out to our guide Sham and our driver Suresh who kept us informed throughout the tour!

A pleasant walk through the rainforest with a visit to a local settlement. The local guide was very helpful and tried to explain everything in detail. The journey from Kuala Lumpur is a bit longer and the canopy walk is still closed.

The driver of THS was super punctual and got me to the meeting point quickly and safely. In the 3.5-hour drive I learned a lot about the economy in Malaysia. The jungle tour was led by a local woman. Plants and animals were explained, animal tracks were pointed out and the way of life of the Aboriginal people was explained. Although it rained, the whole tour and also the boat trip was an unforgettable experience. Anytime again.

Wow— this experience was SO memorable. It’s definitely an adventure! I went with my husband, and there was so much that we experienced and learned. The day started early at 6AM pick-up. Our wonderful driver, Kelvin, escorted us to and from the rainforest. He was very personable, knowledgeable, and kind! He explained a lot of interesting facts about Malaysia and the villages that were on the way (as it’s a 3.5 hour drive from Kuala Lumpur). He also gave great recommendations for things to do in KL, what to expect on this trip, and much more. If we had any questions, he was able to answer them. (: On the excursion, EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED. For us, it started raining drastically throughout the day (since we went in November), so we were TOTALLY soaked. (If you’re going on a rainy day, I recommend bringing a rainsuit and perhaps even an umbrella). The rain prevented us from seeing a nice, clear view from our hike up the mountain; the aerial view was completely white since we were within the clouds. However, the group we were a part of were very fun, and we all had a great time laughing and suffering together in the rain LOL. Also, we had an incredible rainforest guide, Shem (I’m not sure how to spell his name), who was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and fun!!! He taught us so many interesting things about the plants, insects, animals as well as the lifestyle for the villagers around the rainforest. We were also able to enter an aboriginal village and meet a few of its members who showed us how they light fire and kill animals (using a blowpipe). Make sure to bring cash because they also have handmade goods that they can sell you! It’s a great memento from this unbelievable adventure. The lunch at the end of the excursion was delicious as well. You’ll eat family-style with your group and have several dishes to share. Drinks, a bowl of rice, veggies, and protein are all prepared for you! I honestly loved each dish. Some other good reminders are to bring a change of clothes as you’ll get wet from the rapid shooting in river boat ride. Also, the hike up the mountain can get quite steep, and there’s A LOT of stairs, so make sure to bring water and mental fortitude. There’s also a lot of mosquitoes— so be prepared and wear mosquito repellant if you’re prone to getting bitten. TLDR: hike is steep and weather is unpredictable. If it’s going to rain, bring a rainsuit. No matter what, don’t forget to bring water, a change of clothes, and wear mosquito repellent

The agency was very helpful and kind in preparing our tour to Taman Negara. The guys were able to answer all our questions and managing to make us have a fantastic experience! The driver who drove us to Taman Negara (Mr Kusaendran) was fantastic! He drove excellently, telling us the story of the country, also managing to empathize with us, until exchanging life advice. Thank you all for this experience!
