Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino
The Monastery of St. Nino at Bodbe is a Georgian Orthodox monastic complex and the seat of the Bishops of Bodbe located 2 km from the town of Sighnaghi, Kakheti, Georgia. Originally built in the 9th century, it has been significantly remodeled, especially in the 17th century.

Sighnaghi has rightfully earned its affectionate title, “the City of Love.” Couples can marry here at any hour of the day, and the town is famously linked to the romantic gesture of Georgian artist Niko Pirosmani, who covered the streets with flowers for his beloved — a story immortalized in the song “A Million Scarlet Roses.” Stroll through its charming, Italian-style streets, admire Europe’s longest defensive wall, and take in breathtaking views of the Alazani Valley. It’s a place where history, romance, and beauty come together in perfect harmony.
