I booked a walking tour of Kampala city centre. Habib was my guide. She met me at the agreed time and showed my around downtown. Felt totally safe following her around. It was great listening to all the information she had on the various places we visited. She had answers to all my questions and was fun to talk with. Definitely recommend Habib for showing you downtown. I mentioned to her that I would be interested in visiting the Palace and tombs. She recommened I also visit the Kings Parliament building and the Baha'i temple. She spoke to the office and they were able to arrange this trip for me the next day. This time my guide was Musah. He arrived to pick me up from my accommodation ahead of scheule which was great. Excellent tour of the above menitoned buildings. Driven to each one. He showed me where to sign in and I was given tours by the buildings staff. On our drives was able to give me more information on the areas we passed in Kampala. We finished with some traditional Ugandan food before he dropped me back home. A totally hassle free way to see so much in a short time period. Definitely recommended.

Definitely recommend the city walking tour if it’s your first time in Kampala and Habib was a great tour guide! Walking in the streets of the city while learning about the history of the country from Habib’s stories provides an authentic experience of the city. Plus you get to avoid Kampala’s traffic jams!

If you want to experience the heart of Kampala, the uptown and downtown, the hustle and bustle of the Owina market, you wont be disapppinted. If you have a spirit for adventure, you should surely try this. Take water, sunscreen and a hat and Local currency in cash to buy at the markets. The Buganda market is more expensive than Owina where you can get anything! Habib was a great guide. Kind and knowledgeable. Just be clear about how to get back to your hotel after the tour as ubers are nit always available in some areas and you will need to take a boda boda, which is fun. The information on the history of Uganda was also very well presented.

We had a great immersion experience in authentic Kampala thanks to Zaynab, our guide. We were able to see a large number of monuments and taste two specialties in the markets. We felt safe thanks to our guide who explained the history of Kampala and Uganda but also the details to know during our visit to the streets and markets. I recommend this tour of Kampala, especially if you come little time in Uganda.

The walking tour was great. The markets are crazy busy, people everywhere. We felt safe with Zaynab, who was lovely, with plenty of knowledge to share about the history of the city and its people. The craft market at the end was lovely, had time and space, not many people there, to wander and buy without being hassled. Thank you Zaynab for a lovely half day tour, you were wonderful, and very helpful with our needs along the way.
