Our drive down the famously scenic Kancamagus Highway begins at the White Mountain Visitor Center. Get ready to see all the best sights the majestic White Mountains have to offer, and hear about the land's history, the Native American tribes who lived here, and the legends about how this mountain range formed. We'll start by hearing about the famous Old Man of the Mountain, the story behind the highway's fabulous fall colors, and the legend of the celestial bear who created the Milky Way galaxy! Next, we'll get some tips about moose-spotting and bird-watching. Note: The tour is over 35+ miles long, with more than 40+ audio stories, and takes about 2-3 hours to complete. Buy once, use for one year! Ideal for extended visits and return trips over the next 12 months.
Our drive takes us next to some broad, flat rocks that aren't just great picnic spots--they're also a favorite hangout of otters! Otters love to lounge on these rocks after the sun has baked them, so keep your eye out and you just might spot one.

It was like having a private guide in your car to share all the highlights of this beautiful road. It just makes good sense to make sure you hit all the spots of interest and do it with knowledge.

A beautiful drive along the River with numerous waterfalls and hiking opportunities. The fall colors were amazing and there were opportunities to explore the river, scrambling the rocks.

Slightly over rated but still fun on October 12, 2025. I’ve been looking forward to doing this trip at peak leaf peeping season for years and honestly it’s been fun but not the colors I expected. We did Vermont a couple years ago and that was gorgeous even in the rain. This is still lovely and less crowded for sure. Highly recommend a stay in Ipswich NH. Peaceful cute town

We only had time for a few stops along this scenic road, but the audio guide gave us useful information along the way. This was the 2nd audio Guide from 'Stories with Action' we used on this trip and both were easy to set up and use. I recommend this guide and vendor.

I loved the history and all of the points that f interests… we stopped at most places and took a lunch and ate at a picnic table at Otter Rock. We would have missed alot if we had not had the guide!

This was absolutely fabulous! The tour downloads from the app “Action Tour Guide” and has great narration! I loved that it would auto play as you got near a point of interest and had side commentary if you wanted to learn more on the sites. Also, it plays well before the point of interest so that you have plenty of time to listen and turn in if you choose. Lastly, it downloads to your phone so it works even if no cell or WiFi service available! Awesome app and tours!

The audio tour worked well and was a great guide. It was informative and was a convenient way to hear interesting stories and be informed on various stops along the Kancamagus. Highway. Well worth the cost.

It was a waste of time The weather was freezing and there was no visibility at all We had tickets for 9:00 am, and they should have cancelled the trip and reimbursed us at $100.00 per ticket, we were 4 seniors. The “conductor” was mumbling we sat all the way in the back and could not hear him The wind up on top was so strong that I thought I was going to fall In weather where the is no visibility at all they should cancel and put us on a later trains when the weather better and the visibility on top is good
