Anping Tree House
The tree house was built around the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the Japanese occupation. After more than a hundred years of vicissitudes, the walls of the warehouse are covered with the aerial roots of banyan trees. The dense crowns of the towering banyan trees seem to have become the roof of the warehouse, giving the Anping Tree House a rare appearance and mysterious atmosphere. Nowadays, there are well-planned wooden boardwalks that allow people to travel between tree houses, or go up into the treetops. You can often see many squirrels and birds playing among the treetops, and the ecology is good. If you are tired from walking, you can take a break at the Tree House Café in the Tree House Park, have an ice cream to cool off, and continue to explore the beauty of Anping.
Anping Fort (Anping gubao)
Anping Fort is a castle ruin located in Anping District, Tainan City, Taiwan. A simple fortress was built by the Dutch East India Company in October 1623, demolished at the end of April 1624, and rebuilt on the original site at the end of August. It was completed in 1634 and is the earliest fortress building in Taiwan. Since its establishment, the city has been the center of the Dutch and Ming Zheng rule in Taiwan.
