  Ray the owner of Happy Mountain Trekking Company gave myself and my friends a guided tour of Kathmandu.   Our Katmandu sight seeing was amazing. Our guide Ray from Happy Mountain provided us with a riveting, absorbing, highly informative overview of the history and culture of Nepal and Katmandu. Ray answered our questions and was highly attentive to our needs. His enthusiastic, personable and relaxed style was infectious and at the end of the day we felt we had made a friend. The tour far exceeded my expectations

  We had our Happy Mountains guide, Resham Raz when we visited UNESCO sites and it was truly amazing. His knowledge of history, religions, architecture, reconstruction after the earthquake and policies for preserving the integrity of the sites was extraordinary. The advantage was that we could ask questions and receive information as we were looking at the features of interest. His pride in Nepalese culture and willingness to share made it all the more riveting. Our group had been to Nepal before, but this visit was particularly exciting as we were here for the Divali or Tihar festival celebrations. We were treated to such kindness and joy with families and friends. Even strangers were welcoming and wanted to share photographs with us as we ventured through the UNESCO sites. We feel so honoured and privileged to have had this enriching, educational cultural experience. Namaste

  I booked this as a private tour on very short notice, and was impressed by how smoothly everything was organized and customized to my preferences. Although the original tour did not include this exact route, the team was flexible and adjusted the itinerary to match what I wanted to see. We visited Pashupatinath Temple, the Buddha Stupa, and the Durbar Squares in Patan and Bhaktapur. All truly fascinating sites offering a great mix of culture, history, and local atmosphere. The tour was well organised, and the guide, Ram, provided a comprehensive overview of the country's history and culture, including interesting facts about life in Nepal. It is highly recommended for individuals seeking a tailored and flexible tour experience in Kathmandu.

  My first city tour. Usually like to explore myself. So glad I found this one! Resham was great! He kept my interest the entire 6 hours. He is charming, knowledgeable, patient and fun. He was able to transfer knowledge with a personal perspective that was so enjoyable. Highly recommend!
