Travel with minivan to Butrint. 2-2,5 hours paddling and swimming into the lake and lagoon of Butrint. In antiquity, the amphitheatre was known as Buthrotum, the center of the Greek tribe of Chaonians. By the 4th century BC, Butrint became an important city and had its own amphitheater and temples. Within the next two centuries, it was annexed by the Roman Empire. We will stop in at Ali Pasha which lies some 2.4 kilometres (1.5 mi) due west at the mouth of the Vivari Channel. After the kayaking we will taste e delicious local lunch (fish food based but also meet upon request).
