No experience is necessary to join this professionally guided kayak trip. Bowman Bay is the perfect place for beginners to feel comfortable paddling on the sea. It offers beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife to seek out. Although this trip is conducted in Deception Pass State Park we avoid the turbulent water near the bridge which is more suitable for expert kayakers. If you plan to visit Deception Pass State Park then don't miss this wonderful opportunity to see it from the unique perspective of a sea kayak!

It was a great tour with Derek as our guide. He was a lot of help for a couple of novice kayakers and made the tour enjoyable with his knowledge of the area. The equipment provided was in good shape and the instruction on how to use it properly was very good. It's a great service offered for those wanting to get out on the local waters without owning their own equipment.

This was our second trip with Anacortes, kayak tours, and we’ve loved both of them. The guides are knowledgeable, helpful and focused on everyone’s safety and enjoyment. The scenery is amazing, and wonderful to see things from the perspective of the water. Highly recommend.

We did the evening Kayak tour out of Bowman Bay. It was pure delight, overwhelmingly beautiful, bucket list trip. Put this tour on the top of my list of most beautiful vacation experiences. Water was flat calm, sunset was bright orange, dolphins and eagles were seen. After sunset we paddled back to the bay and enjoyed the bioluminescence in the dark. Stars were abundant. Guides made sure were we safely equipped. Kayaks and gear were in excellent shape. Guides provided insight about the area and the biology. No rush and they allowed us to just soak in the experience.

This was the perfect trip to introduce my daughters to kayaking! Our guide was knowledgeable and attentive to everyone, the water was calm, and we saw lots of sea birds, seals, a kelp crab, and alot of egg yolk jellies! My daughters are ready to go again. What a special adventure and memory!

Addie was our guide and we had a fun 1.5 kayak tour of Bowman bay and surrounding area. As our first time in sea kayaks we were excited to head out. Addie gave us tons of educational info that was cool and interesting. Although we didn't sea orcas breaching over our kayaks like we'd dreamed of, we did see plant life, fish, crab, seals on rocks, and "Ellie Mae" the female elephant seal on shore. 1.5 tour was the perfect amount of time for our day. We even got to taste bull keep leaves- tasty but also very salty lol! Thanks for a great tour Addie!!

Our experience was very kid friendly (at least for ages 10+)! My kids loved tandem kayaking with us and seeing the kelp forests and jellyfish floating about. It was equal parts work (for the people in the back) and chill. We would all definitely do it again!
